A mh or h crucial is not a bad choice for the price. Handle is a bit short on the crucial so if you're used to a longer one this could be a nuisance. -
I really like 65lb braid for most of my small to medium topwater fishing - jrs, baby wakes slammers etc. With a soft tipped rod like the LDC MH with plenty of muscle in the back end you are set. You will not miss very many fish on that setup. For the small to medium sinking baits - mf, rs, minnows, hud 68's I've been using 20lb XXX (carry over from my regular bass fishing). It does have memory but not as much as some others. For the larger baits - 8" huds, BAA, big slammers, 10" jsj etc. I use 25 XXX. I will be trying some new line once I finish my spools. Maybe p-line pf Always looking, learning, n trying new stuff. I have to add all these baits cast like butter with a custom XH LDC!!!

dang thats crazy. Ive had that happen to me at a local lake. The bass were attacking in packs and chased the gills to the shore right at my feet. Scared the crap out of me at first!!

I'm working hard on moving towards only swimbaits. Gotta say I'm totally hooked. Don't mind the skunk as long as I have a SB on. Just the anticipation of that big bite especially when you see that "football" following your bait to the shore I'll be getting rid of my bass gear pretty soon to say the least. My trout stuff maybe not yet. A big ol alper or brown on 2lb line draggin you around on you tube is killer fun and gooood eating
