What he said The 400 cardiff felt significantly heavier than the 300. I have had both in the past but got rid of the 400 due to the size and weight. Pretty good beginner reel especially for the price. Swap out the bearings and drag washers and you'll be set. Might even be worth it to try and snag some used ones ths way you can try them both. You might be able to find a good deal on the board
