    Great pic and fish.
  2. Mike thanks for putting this up. Be aware of what and who you are buying or selling to. Also Matt was one of the realest down to earth person in the world . His smile in the pic says everything about him and will be missed. Dont drink and drive please
  3. You can take a small knife and carve out a it of the nose. I have used snaps and direct never had an issue with either
  4. It can be done in one of two ways. One the bait needs to be taken apart and the lead from the tail needs to be removed. He could of just removed the bill and made a weight to make it sink. I think it would work just a faster sinking version of the shooter. Due to the knocker and lead in the molded part of the tail section. the dozer is a floating bait with the tail down in the water were the shooter with no weight in the mouth floats evenly on the surface. I would think if you could find a replacement bill it might be worth a shot.
  5. I would like to see a crank down bait that got to 15-20 ft or more on a long cast.
  6. It has a more refined braking system than a pluton . You can pretty much get it to into complete free spool. It can be a good or bad thing. It can get away from people who are not expecting it.

    New PB 8lb 10oz

Nice fish. Congrats on the Pb
  8. The stock bearings are not the best you are good to go with a set of stainless or ceramics. either way an upgrade is a good idea. Now with that being said i know people who fish their stock bearings for over a year with no problem. Casting distance is helped out as stated above.
  9. I have had some luck c rigging the minnow with and oz weight. I know the booger can be used as a trailer behind a war bait with good results the salt. Cant see it not translating to the lakes as things usually do with spooties
  10. Tire chains and anchor rope for dragging. This had gotten a few of mine and friends bait. Thanks Geoff for the idea. I'm curious to see how the mother holds up to a more toothy critter. It's fun to fish.
  11. Nice fish. Manny is a real fun guy and great at getting people hooked on swimbaiting.
  12. Great way to start the new year. nice fish.
  13. 8ft in 12 sec. with 58 degree water
  14. I have thrown baits to the hinkle for a short time and know it can handle the mother. I have fished this reel for about 2.5 years and love it. cast a mile super smooth and built like a tank. Crazy thing is i know people who fish jigs with it. with that being said it will fish and cast a bait from 1oz to 13oz. as for the rod the ldc xh custom is what i have it on as my go to set up. The ldc h is good might be on the lighter side for the 8in hudds , i also feel the xh is the perfect hudd rod. as for replacement parts daiwa japan is still making them and if you need it repaired daiwa will find the parts. I was in there and they were servicing a spinning reel for a guy that was made in the 80's. They didnt have the parts so went and found them and fixed it. Thats when i was sold on daiwa service after my calcutta 400b could not be serviced by shimano anymore.
  15. Jason thats cool. way to hook up someone.
  16. Im pretty sure it cant be done very easily. There is a lead weight in the tail of the dozer and none in the head making the head float and tail sink. also it has a single knocker in it. the only way would be to drill or some how split and reassemble the entire bait. the dozer are cool baits crank down wake.
  17. Nice fish Travis. Magnums are a nice way to change it up.
  18. Its a different bait. the 250 has a huge tail similar to the hudd only bigger. it has the action of a hudd with some head shake. I have not had any luck with mine but have not spent the time to catch fish with it.
  19. My dad has the ranger bay bass boat and it fishes well just not the biggest fan of the trolling motor for fresh water it also has a t top. he fishes the salt only. I fish out of a tracker and enjoy it.
  20. Little fish eat big top water baits. I caught a ton of fish from .5-3 lbs on a 9 in (jumbo) rat. Are there Nutria rats there? Think big bait big fish. thats why where throwing swimbaits and not drop shot.
  21. Nice sack Don. Glad to see the Prize from the Battle getting some mojo. Keep on sticking them.
