The whole rat thing has been going on for many years. I think its kind of pompous how a guy thinks he has the sole right to make a rat bait. IMO this goes way past copyright law.

Morning all, I have a SS 250 I want to trade. I bought this from Top Ramen over the summer. The bait was brand new. I have fished it on one trip. It is in near new condition. It will not come with the original box. If I can't work out a trade I'm going to sell it for what I paid $200($190 + PP fees). If a guy from mass is interested I am willing to meet up and deliver the bait(fricken snow, cabin fever). Trades I am looking for in so particular order: Rats- Ceaser's, OD, PB, Pat's, HPH- original's HPH- Glide- XSS or Floater only SS 175 2ea any of the Trout patterns, mullet, herring 1up SS or floater Gills- Ceaser's wake, Matts 2 piece floater/ss, MCL wake Pat's trout fatty I am being honest and fair here some of the above trades would be straight up some would be plus cash. Hey Masshole, Great site, lots of very good info from some outstanding trophy anglers. Besides time on the water this site has helped my game more than all others. I'm in Halifax. Just throwing this out there for all the Mass guys I think it would be cool if we had a get together/bait swap/fishing night or tourney(not douchey). Scott -

Good afternoon all, I picked this up last winter at the New England fishing show in Worcester from Mikey99 at the BBD booth. Supposedly a very limited pattern "nightmare trout" Hasn't seen water. I would like to trade for an original HPH or one of Ceasar's wakes. Let me know if your interested, I can email or text more detailed pics.

Powderhorn down in Hyannis used to carry slammers, hudds and a few other swimbaits, not sure if they have kept up with it over the years.

Thanks for all the replies. I really need a day to experiment with different casts and try and let the bait do most of the work. Its going to be a hard habit to break, swinging for the fence every cast.

Thanks guys. I am an overhand caster for the most part. I have no doubts about the rod, just find in most comfortable, accurate, and can cast slot further overhand than with a sidearm/underhand cast. I'll certainly be fishing the hell our of this setup until I am comfortable with the sidearm technique.

This is my second season with this rod. It is my primary setup. I've gone up to 5oz without noticing any strain. I don't find it to have as deep of a bend, I feel it loading a lot more in the tip than further down the blank. It could be me and that's why I'm asking. Any input is appreciated. Scott

These Luna's are excellent reels, someone should snatch this up quick. They fly under the radar a bit both of mine are 4 years in still smooth and lots of power.

I just got out with the 250 for the first time today. I was throwing it with 30# on a Luna. I bomb baits but I think I need to adjust my style for this setup to work. The rod feels a little overpowered by the 250. If anyone else has any experience using this identical rod, I'm looking to get max distance. Thanks

First trip out on a pond this year with more than a couple feet visibility, had quite a few follows on the magnum 230. Decided to follow up with a smaller bait, deps 175. Got smoked on the first cast just a few seconds after the first twitch. Small chunker in the #4 range. Rinse repeat and snap goes my line just above my previous knot. Could have been a bad knot could have been from the fish, don't know because I didn't retie. It sucks losing something that you could have prevented. I tied on another bait and kept on fishing. It was just great to be on water for more than a hour finally. I don't have a 250 but a lot of you guys fish em don't forget to check your line. The price you pay to have fun, no worries
