  1. Are you really saying a bait is only good if only a few people have them? Haha... thats ridicules, everyone in the country could have a shad and they would still get bit. They catch fish because they are good baits not because only a few people have them. You are also mistaken if you think they aren't selling for 130. I know several people who have bought or sold them for that much. Just because one on eBay didn't go for that much doesn't mean none anywhere are going for that. They are awesome baits and if someone really wants a particular bait they will pay to get it.. each person is different in what they really want.
  2. First time I have seen it. I don't even know where to get it.
  3. Evidently my phone doesn't know how to spell swimbait. I need to be more careful when making posts from this thing. My point still stands though even 10 to 14 inch lipless or small lipped bait are easy on reels when compared to some of the musky baits, which is why some musky guys don't like the Daiwa Luna. If you aren't going to be musky fishing which those baits then you will be very happy with either of those reels.
  4. Baits like giant cowgirls are definitely harder on reels than swimsuits for bass. double bladed spinners with blades the size of you hand and Big deep diving cranks are brutal on reels.
  5. Wish I would have known that. I got 2 floaters. Maybe someone will be up for a trade.
  6. Finally I got another shad. Its been a long wait
  7. I really like through line baits. When you hook a fish the bait slides up the line which makes it harder for the fish to throw the bait Plus the baits seem to hold up better.
  8. The baitsmith/Smith's bait floating bluegill hard bait is a fun and unique bait to fish
  9. I got the news letter saying a new bait but it didn't say what. Keeping my fingers crossed for a gill or 5.5 inch shad
  10. I really like the 6 inch hitch. It has a better tail kick than a 6 inch hudd but hudd now has the 68 special. I haven't had a chance to throw my 68s yet but they look like they will really kick. I really like the mad gills for swimming around docks. The shad is a great bait to. I would love to see Huddleston come out with a gill and a 5.5inch shad. I like having more options.
  11. I think alot of swimbait guys do better between full moons because the bite changes. At least where I am at the crawfish molt more heavily around a full moon and the bass key on those. When this happens I can pound on fish banging rocks with crankbaits and jigs. Between the full moons they aren't on that crawfish bottom bite as heavy an I do much better waking baits on the surface. So in my experience it isn't that they bite is "better" or "worse" it is just that the bite is different.
  12. I have never heard the phrase slalom style baits before but it fits. When I look at the action of these baits it makes me think of glide baits like what musky guys use except with a joint in them.
  13. Personally, I would prefer waiting 2, 3,... 4 times longer between batches if that meant there would be 2,3,...4 times as many baits and therefore maybe I would have a better chance at getting some more baits. I LOVE 3:16 baits but it is frustrating waiting 48 hrs then camping out on the computer 30 min before they go on sale, clicking as fast as I can with complete disregard as to color and still not getting anything. The fact that you don't halfass anything is part of the reason I love the baits. I am more than willing to wait extra time, or maybe limit people to 1 bait instead of 2. That is just my two cents. Keep making amazing baits and hopefully I can get my hands on a couple more.
  14. I have always used the regular ones in the past and have always used them shallow. This past winter I picked up some top hook ones with plans of still fishing them in the shallow to mid range through scattered grass. Hoping to get the bait I like so much through a little thicker stuff than I have in the past. All this talk has me thinking I am going to have to try it deeper too.
  15. I am looking to get 2 punkers, a shell cracker, and a couple baits of my own design wrapped.
  16. Anyone know who I can get to wrap a few baits? Does Bill Egan still do it. I can't find his site anymore.
