I talked to matt about these and he said aside from the looks he would compare it best to an okuma. Of course reaction strike is always a huge negative, if you can find a solid rod that isnt gonna fail it should be a good rod.

It seems to me mono doesnt cast off near as much as braid does? I even use mono with a lower test?

How often do most people respool braid? When i use mono, i normally respool at least once a month without problems? is this the same with braid?

I tried spiderwire many times before on "other baits" and it always snapped when casting? I remember it even broke on the first cast after spooling up? Is this just an operator error, or are they known for this? Ive tried Powerpro last year and im pretty pleased with it.

Im gonna try some swimbaits and braid this year, I was thinking of using 65 or 80 lbs power pro. What is everyone else using?

For me it was always throwing the proven baits. You always see people say stick with the proven baits;Hudds,Mission Fish, Punkers,Slammers etc. but i always had confidence in the "other baits" like bbz's, river2seas, tru tungsten. Now that i learned more i realized what "proven" meant was, catches fish, swims correctly, lasts a WHOLE lot longer, and gets better with use.
