    Got a Rago Baby Tool coming, so hopefully by post-spawn I can write a review of my own. Just what I thought, from combining the inputs from different threads on this site and a few others. That's great. Looks like I did all right when I passed on two good deals on 10" freestyles. Thanks Speed.

    Lol probably not. Let me tell you my man, I'm a Shimano guy through and through. I tried three Abu Garcia reels before this one (for conventional bass fishing) and got rid of them all. But this one is as good as my Shimanos. Casts great, and it's actually difficult to backlash this reel.

    Matt has two catfish baits in his tournament line; the bullhead and the channel cat. I haven't fished either, but I have fished the trouts, bass and a herring like bait (forget what it's called) from the same tournament series. I guess they're similar. I can tell you that they swim well at slow speeds and sit upright (almost always) on the bottom. The ones I fished were all fast sinks (from the original tourney series). He also has some slow-sinkers out now, but I haven't owned or fished any of them. Hope that helps.

    Will trade the rod for a Mattlures / Okuma GS XH in similar condition. Also interested in trading the reel for 8" freestyles and RD floaters (cash on my end). Please note that the reel is a lefty. Gear ratio is 4.6:1, and IPT is around 22.5.
