  1. I bought a 200z over the winter when they were blowing them out at tw, it is definitely my new favorite. If I would have known I was going to like 200Z so much, I would have bought 2 more. I feel like I could snag a hippo and reel it in with the 200Z. I prefer the low pro reels, my wrist are all kinds of f%#@ed up and the low pros don't irritate them as fast.
  2. awesome looking baits man. Thanks for sharing.
  3. swimbaiting draws a lot of shady people out of the wood work. Crazy.
  4. They took a longer than expected with the JR, don't worry though, they will come through.
  5. i am not familiar with VA but whenever I am traveling to a different state and plan on fishing, I will do a google search for an anglers guide/fishing guide for that paticular state as most states have them . The guide will usually have all the regulations, launch info, types of fish, size, depth, etc...Then I will look at where I am staying and use google earth to see what lakes are around the area. Google earth will let you explore the lake with out leaving your house. The anglers guide will keep you out of trouble, as you might find a body of water using google earth that is right next to where you are staying but it could be a private lake, you can look it up in the guide to confirm if it is open to the public. And of course, find the nearest tackle shop and pick their brains for information.
  6. Anyone one else have a problem with their MCL Gill's swim at med and fast retrieves? If I go to a med retrieve the lure flops around and spins will retrieving. It has great action at a slow paced retrieve as well as dead sticking. I fished it this past weekend and the action would fall apart if I had to pick up the speed while in a current or to get the bait were to a specfic spot. anyone else notice swim issues at med to fast retrieves?
  7. there is a guy on lake cobbosseecontee in ME that has a harley colored ranger and a nautique with the same colors. Very cool.
  8. mikey, the kid thing works its self out pretty quickly. Both my kids could cast by the time they were three and fish with me frequently. It was tough getting to the point were they could do most of the stuff on their own but once they figure it out, it is awesome. I have a 5 (daughter) and 8 year old(son), there is nothing more rewarding then seeing them catch a fish on their own.
  9. I don't see a need for it, if I am fishing reation baits, the fish are smashing the bait, not coming up and licking it to check for authenticity, by the time they realized its fake, it's to late.
  10. sorry for your loss guys, what a terrible tradegy. his family and freinds are in my thoughts and paryers.
  11. how long does it take to get a mcl gill in? I ordered one a few weeks ago, but never got any indication how long it will take to deliver, just curious? Sorry if this a hijack, figured it might help other members tho.
  12. wow what a db. He is also charging 11.95 for shipping. That add is totally deceptive, it's listed as new condition which is a lie, he opened it and removed the bait. The seller has 0 integrity, if he did, he would have made it a buy it now for a few bucks, not set up an auction with a deceptive picture in hopes of f%#king over a fellow fisherman.
  13. any tackle shop worth a dam will be able to repair it for you, but yeah, just use a little hot glue and slap it back on.
  14. very cool all sorts and Welcome to the forum
  15. I would fish it as is, that could be a deadly combo.
  16. Got my bait today, looks amazing and well worth the wait. I can't wait to chuck this thing at stripers.
  17. I second that, I bought 3 baits off of him, his communication was great, shipped quickly and provided a tracking number once he shipped. Baits in condition as promised, I would definitely do business with him again.
  18. according to your logic, you just burned (Irvine, corona, Santa ana, or any hood pond)by discussing a specific body of water(no matter how vague or useless the statement/question/information was). See what i did there? The kid ask a question to see if any fellow board members fished the place and he gets jumped on for spot burning. It wouldn't be the first time fellow board members got together to fish together at a lake that rents boats. Chill homie. If he starts posting pictures of dd with identifiable backgrounds, have at, I'd put my own brother on blast for stupid ish like that.
  19. No, he was asking people to burn it for him. And guess what? After living about 10 minutes away for 18 years, I can definitely say not all that many people bass fish it, along with a few other lakes around here (trout and catfish based) and that any attention that the lakes get for bass fishing is unwanted and distasteful to the locals that fish there. And it's not this particular lake, it's the idea of anyone posting about a specific waterway as small as that. Extremely local, extremely sensitive to pressure, and kept extremely quiet. lol, dude if anything you just blew up the spot by the way you reacted, you are obviously trying to protect it. It must be a honey hole, If the pond was a toilet bowl I doubt you would have came at him like that. Hmmm, low pressured 80 acrea pond with limited bass fishermen that has trout, never knew that till you posted it, thanks for the intel . If you are so secret, why did you join a public fishing forum, also your avatar looks like a spot burner picture, just saying....
