  1. I’m not sure about that. I bet someone else would know on here.
  2. I hate to do it but I figure that somebody would use it as much as it deserves to be used before I step on it and break it or something. It’s a great rod I’m just used to my old rods and am too stubborn to switch. I’ve caught a few fish on it but it’s still like new. I don’t like to get rid of it because it’s somewhat of a trophy to me but it’s meant to be used. Asking $400. I probably won’t come down on price I have no big need to sell it.

    Fun day with a hudd

    From yesterday. 10-4, 8-2 and 5-15
  4. Was able to get another big spot today. Not quite as big. Short couple hour trip. Got on one spot an hour before dark and we were getting bit like crazy. Not quite as big. 6 lb 7 oz on the hudd again
  5. Looks like it could be 2.5 or 2 lbs depending on what part he's in.
  6. STKBASS I don't know where you live and what your handicap is. There's a 6.59 from South Africa so if you don't get a handicap then yes that's probably right. I think SA gets 2.5 lbs
  7. Again, the only rule change would be a spotted bass or smallmouth bass could not get beat by a smaller fish.... that would be it. Very simple but again it's not up to me and let's be honest... I'm fishing for largemouth so I don't really care too much. It would be cool to win one with a spot or smallie though.
  8. Just like a 6 lb LM from that same state would win. In that case we're still talking about pounds not species.
  9. Jack, yes they would if their state gets a handicap. The smallie would win.
  10. Anthony, the 6 lb smallie would beat the 6.1 California largemouth. The California largemouth would still be handicapped.....
  11. Ya, I wasn't very clear with how I said that before Scott. What I'm saying is a smallmouth or spotted bass would be all on equal playing field for every state against each other. A smaller largemouth could not beat it. Neither could a 6 lb smallmouth from Nebraska beat an 8 lb spot from California. That's just my thoughts. It would all have to be up to the admins though. Look what I started. Haha sorry
  12. Scott, that's a good question but like was stated before a smallmouth or spotted bass could not get beat by a smaller fish. No matter the species. I think if we do it that way it will be simple and still fair. Really, if we think about it a smallmouth or a spotted bass are rarely going to be contenders.
  13. Btw as far as largemouth go I think the handicap is good. It definitely wouldn't be fair for a guy in Montana to go up against California. It's just not realistic.
  14. Have we ever had a spotted bass or smallmouth contender? Not that I know of. Maybe now we might see new rules added in the future.I'm not saying add weight to the spotted bass.... I'm saying don't let a 6 lb largemouth from North Dakota beat an 8 lbs spot from California.
