  1. Sweet fish! How do you keep them from biting you off on the Rising Sons?

100lb flourcarbon leader, san deigo jam not on the hook, then i connect to the main line with a crazy alberto.

    Muskies Like black rising sons

  2. Are you even smiling or is that just the beard? Holy Crap that is out of control! Your fiancé puts up with that?

Not engaged, but GF doesn't have a say in the matter, like me for who I am or hit the road, lol no, hell she buys me special beard conditioner and shampoo and everything and she likes throwing swimbaits which is also a plus

  3. 80lb braid main line to 80lb Flouro Leader - Crazy Alberto knot, 7 turns one way, 7 Back

Flouro to lure, 5 Turn San Deigo Jam, my girlfriend and I have caught 8 total Muskies this year on this set up including a 40, 42, 45 and 50" and have not had a problem, I've also caught about a dozen pike over 30". I backlashed a cast bad with a BAA, the mainline broke (80lb power pro, and my knot and leader where still intact, so I feel its a pretty strong set up.

  4. Been liking 100# power pro lately.

On my reels that have braid I have either 100lb or 80lb Power Pro, 80lb power pro has a diameter of 18lb mono use anything less and your asking to dig into the spool. If your fishing weedy, murky water I wouldn't fish anything else. If your fishing gin clear lakes then yeah mono, flouro, copoly is generally a better choice. They each have there strengths and weakness's so fish whats right for your application.

  5. So I'm in this weight loss thing at work, I have 30 days and whoever looses the highest% wins. I've been reading all sorts of ish online, but anyone ever do this before? I weighed in at 228.6 and I am weighing every Tuesday through the month of August.

  6. First off, congrats on the fish and great video.

Secondly, you better put a ring on that girl's finger. ...not only does she go fishing with you, but she certainly looks like she knows what she's doing.

Thirdly, and I mean this in the most respectful way possible; I'm a lot happier that it was Kristina's rear-end and not yours that got close to the camera.

LoL she bought some better looking "fishing shorts" so she can look good in the vids, thanks for the nice words

  7. If the weeds are not up to the top, you should be money over those flats.

Gonna be very dependent on water temp and shade this time of year in my experience. That big fish I caught last weekend was up shallow under cover, but was only about 10yds from a 20ft dropoff.

If those weed flats bump up against any significant drops, I would focus there.

Your smallmouths are gonna typically be deeper than the largies this time of year (around here anyway). Also not a bad thing to find some current in the lake, feeder streams or springs running in.

Both species, early and later would be a good starting point on unfamiliar water. You're typically going to find them more shallow and less spread out.

I know all this is kinda general, but that's about all I can offer you on somewhere I've never been. ;)

Speed, dude I couldn't agree more, I have a lake if huge drops into 200ft and if there is a weedflat near a drop off its money.
