  1. Very nice! What setup did you use if you don't mind me asking?

That's a serious fish, nice catch! Were you just using your normal swimbait setup?
  3. Damn lol. I was hopeing you wouldnt say that lol. Ill keep saving then hahaha. Thanks man! I did the exact same thing. Placed an order for a 400TE yesterday. Cry really hard once I say. This is something that will last you a very long time, so the money spent now is an investment.
  4. still a pretty good size. I've not had much luck fishing this year. Congrats regardless
  5. That's awesome! I can't wait to get my gear. Still keeping an eye out for an Armageddon. What was the weight on that beast?
  6. Anyone will do, I need a legit swimbait to chuck when I get my Dobyns rod setup. I've been checking the site every chance I get.
  7. Great hearing stuff like this, I like to know my gear will last no matter what I spend on it. I am keeping an eye out on 3:16 site hoping to snatch up an armageddon. I'd like to see photos as well.
  8. wow that was an awesome video! really makes me want to get out on the water.
  9. Thanks for the replies guys! I actually just placed an order for the gen1 Dobyn 807. After a little more research I'm thinking it's too much for most of my intended baits at the moment. Might order an Okuma guide 711H to cover the full spectrum. Serg, thanks for the offer. I will keep it on my list to see where I'm at after the holidays draining me.
  10. Great vid. Very helpful for noobs like me.Thanks for sharing

Great reviews! I really want one of these bad boys!
  13. They're a one peice rod! Thanks. Sorry for the noob question.
  14. Just the rod. $150 would be unrealistic for a combo, I feel confident my Corvalus will be enough to work for now.
  15. Are the Okuma guide rods a one or two piece? I am interested in an identical setup.
  16. Hey guys, I recently took interest in swimbaits after a fishing conversation with a friend. My experience both with swimbaits and casting reels/rods is very limited. Currently the only casting setup I have is a Shimano Corvalus 300 reel and Bayarm (japanese) rod. The rod itself is too light for these baits, but I think the Corvalus may be just enough for a smaller swimbait. At the moment a nice reel and rod is out of my range, but with your help I was hoping to find a beginner stick good enough to get me started. My budget is around $150. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
