  1. I will for sure be going to Clear Lake in March, I may try and hit some other lakes in the relative vicinity. I can't really afford to go any farther south on my limited time and budget.
  2. I'm planning on making a Spring Break weeklong trip, I'd be down to meet up with anyone during the second week of March.
  3. Have you noticed any stability issues when it swims with the split dorsal fin?

    got another

    Nice work man!
  5. Thought you guys would want to know, TW has a Shimano Curado 300E in like new condition in the "Used" section of their Sale Wall. Combined with their Black Friday sale, this lowers the price to $175.99. Thought someone might want to use this info to grab a new reel at a great price.
  6. For people who are on their email list or "like" them on FB it's usually three or four days before the actual event. I would expect to get a notice from them Tuesday or Wednesday.
  7. Definitely going to take advantage of TW's 20% off sale
  8. Water temps are in the mid-40's where I'm at. I have had good luck finding submerged weedbeds in ~10-12 feet of water and then working either a 68 or 6" Nate's Bait around the edges. This has been productive for both Pike and Largies.
  9. Good fish. Rising Son got me started and has continued to be one of top producing baits. It gets fish no matter how or where you use it.
  10. Just a thought I had while fishing this last weekend, I was wondering how (or if) you guys treated docks on rivers differently versus docks found on lakes. Do you guys look for the same kinds of things on the docks(roofs, cross braces, pilings) or are you more keyed in on more the more natural aspects relating to docks (shade lines, current breaks, sun positioning).

    Weedless Hudd

Had to get out on a beautiful 4th of July, couldn't let the rec boaters have all of the fun on a beautiful day. Wacked several good ones on the weedless hudd and had a huge blowup on the 9" Slammer ROF 12 Baby Bass Weedless Hudd soaked in Pro-Cure 76MHMF St. Croix Mojo Revo S 50lb Power Pro

    Slimeball

Picture doesn't really do the fish justice, really thick ~30 incher. Didn't get a chance to weigh it because I was tired of messing with it after getting bit Top Hook Rising Son Sissy Okuma GS 711H Cardiff 300a 25lb Big Game
  13. Awesome vid, definitely going to have to use these tips as the water heats up up here

    WTB Slammy

Looking to buy a 7" slammer, used with some mojo. Top three colors would be WHITE, black/yellow and bluegill. I am only looking for the original single joint. Paypal will be used for payments.
  15. I have really had to focus on being patient on the hookset. Once I do make the hookset though it's hammer time and I don't let pressure off of the fish til it's in the boat. I have found that scent does seem to help, I am a big fan of Smelly Jelly and a lot of guys here seem to really like Pro-Cure.

    Sissy Rising Son

Got another one today on the Small Sissy Top Hook Rising Son. First day with the bait and it was nice to get the first one on the bait. 711H Okuma Guide Select Cardiff 300A 25lb Big Game
  17. Awesome stuff, glad to see guys helping each other out wherever they can.
  18. I will definitely give this a try tomorrow, thanks for the tip
  19. The Top Hook does sink faster but I have had good luck burning it over and through vegetation submerged ~1.5ft below the surface. I tried the bottom hook but found that it kept snagging too much vegetation on the retrieve.
  20. Same lake, different day. Smashing them right now with the Top Hook Rising Son.

    Idaho Rising Son

On topic with everyone else slaying them with the Rising Son I thought I might throw this guy in. I believe that I am also the first here to post up an Idaho fish, this goes to prove we grow more than potatoes Top Hook Bluegill Rising Son Okuma Guide H Cardiff 300a 25lb Big Game
