I really like them on my slower or parabolic action rods when dealing with trebles. As the rod loads up and rotates the wrapped guides really come in handy IMO. Other than that they are a pain in the @$$. Always tangling up with other rods especially when fishing out of the back of the boat or storing them in a corner.

im not a huge believer in fish leaving because of grass getting sprayed. the fish are there because of the structure not the cover. iv gone back to areas that have been sprayed and the grass was gone but the fish were still there relating to the deep water ledge
