Sorry for your loss. I too hold a special place in my heart for slammers. Especially ones with a lot of hour put in on it. one of mine broke the same way. I sent it to mike and he put a bigger eye screw in it and epoxied it back together. I never trusted it though and ended up getting rid of it.

Nice one Chuck.

You could put six rods on this setup with all the extra brackets. Will work vertical or horizontal. Probably around $50 or so.

You can get these things at Home Depot. There made for shovels and mops. You get the track and a couple holders but you can also get more holders separately. Just push in and it’s locked in with a rubber strap. Here’s my little swimbait corner/work area

This rod did last a couple years. It did end up breaking because the extension blank cracked and flexed too much. You need something inside of the blank to help strengthen it. Like a small wooden dowel or a bolt that fits inside. I don’t think I slide enough of the blank inside the other. Gotta try to get a much as you can up in there. I ended up fixing mine by cutting the head off a bolt and used some 2 ton epoxy. A lot more solid but does and some weight. I have a revo beast 51 on it and it an extremely heavy setup but really like it for some reason. I’ve been catching most of my bigger fish on lately. it’s a little unwieldy sometimes being around an 8’6” rod now but it’s better than sitting it corner collecting dust. hope it helps

Cranking wood with the wake and crank. Ended up going 5lbs 10 oz.

What you think is a pats is actually a defcon or tsunami bait. Worth about $100. Slammers 70-80.

Summertime Mass PB is pretty sweet. Congrats man.

That’s my time with the traveling wake and crank. Off to the next one. Gotta say this bait cranks awesome. Better than the 3 other ones I have. Even with light hook it gets down easily. And thanks to @JacksonF for donating the bait and getting it started. The traveling baits are a great idea and it’s fun to be apart of it and stick some good fish on the wake and crank and the slammer. Hopefully someone stick a giant.

Western Mass edition of the traveling wake and crank. 5 lbs 10oz. Headed out on my buddies boat to one of his spot, new to me. As we’re rolling up to a lay down he says. “I catch most of my big fish off this lay down usually”. The boat gets in position and I'm waiting for him to cast and he says “fire it in there”. I say ”you sure?” He says ”yea man” 10 cranks in on that lay down and it gets smoked. we were laughing pretty hard afterwards. can’t believe he Babe Ruthed it and called the shot. Called my shot anyway. Haha. Must have said thanks 20 times and he told me he doesn’t like to back seat guys all the time . What a guy. Haha

The traveling slammer has made its way to Western Massachusetts. Still alive and well.
