I've fished Guntersville several times and a few must have baits on that lake are 1. Wake Jr 2. FS Shad 3. Hudd 68 (weedless version would be killer) 4. Rising Son You'll be happy with any of these baits on that lake -
Give the Lil Booger a try. It'll stay near or at the top and has a nice swimming motion

I know its not HBC, but I've done Sealy's Big Bass Splash on Lake Guntersville and it was a lot of fun. It's put on by Wally World and they have it so you can weigh in every hour and usually the top 10 fish every hour get paid. Then the top fish of the 2 day tourny gets like 50,000 or something ridiculous.
