    I usually fish the top hooks or bb-rig them, you could try placing some nail weights and it would be possible to drill through the foam, place a coffee straw and run the line underneath for a belly line through hook

    3-5 good casts on the spot is enough for me. You Could pickup another rod with a different bait and make another 3-5 casts and see if you get a different reaction or some followers conditions do play a key factor, and you have to find the ambush spots to present your bait correctly in your pond
