I've landed 3 stripers over 20 on the z so far. Awesome reel wish it was bigger for the stripers. But for green bass fishing I'd rock it all day long. Green bass will never rip off all the line on the z. But a 25 lb stripe did take me to my last couple warps around the spool.

Sorry guys got the bait a couple days ago. About to go hit the water. Was looking at the bait and the middle hook was bent. Changed the two front hooks to gamakatsu 4x in a 1/0 hook and put some triple o rings on bait. Left the stock feather hook on it too.

Awesome..my wife and daughters fish as well. Half big baits half conventional. Dig it when they stick a good one on a swimbait and the first thing out their mouths is "help me" or "you take it I don't want to lose it"....and all you do is smile "NOPE". Glad she is hooked!

Took the girl friend out last week and she caught a smallie on a 7 in triple trout. This week rolls around and she tells me she wants catch something bigger. Ummm okay you don't have to twist my arm to go fish. So were fishing for about an hour or so and she's casting like a champ on a Calais 200. And all I hear is a swoooosh! Look out just to catch a glimpse of her fish. And it's on. Starts to rip line off and she looks at me and is like "I can't do this you take it " I say " no way girl that's all you" took her a little while but she got it! So happy for her. She even told me she understands a little bit why I fish so much too.
