XXH Parabolic is great for those bigger glides. Here's a thread about it viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10469 +1 xxh is the way to go you can throw a slide and later on down the road if you decide to throw bigger baits. I've only my xxh for a week but I really dig it. I can throw a 14oz bait on this rod.

I would say it hit pretty hard I didn't even have time to react.

First day off since I've got the bait. Been out a couple times for a couple hours but this morning was the first day I really got to throw and learn the bait. First off thank you swimbaitunderground. So the other days I've been fishing I've been trying to sneak off after work by then it's kinda late. I think I was working the bait to fast making it roll. Today in the day I actually got to see what the bait was doing. Nice now I know what kinda tempo to retrieve the bait at. So fishing fishing still fishing then I see a follower sick swims right up to the boat and turns away. Dammit first follow on the mother at least I'm working the bait right. Sit down think about what just happened and take a rest get to another spot fire out a cast crank crank twitch... Slammmm it's on!! 3 mins later fish in the boat!!!

Just my 2cents I just ordered a parabolic rod I love fishing the glide baits. And fishing with the glides hook up ratio isn't all that great. I'm hoping with the parabolic I won't be ripping the bait away from the fish to fast little more forgiving I guess.

Went out the other day for about 2 hours work was closed so got to go fish. Fishing has been tough for me latley so I decided to fish some new waters. Paid off missed one about 5 mins in to fishing time cool there here! About 10 mins later feel a bump wth?!? Lift the rod slack line wtf? Reel reel reel tension!!!! Look out in the water big fish! Start cranking get it to the boat and it says no way and starts to rip line going across river mind you there are jet skis everywhere! Turn the fish around get it to the boat again this time it's kinda deep. See the boat again and starts to rip line going under the boat. Stick the rod in the water walk it around the trolling motor and a minute later boom!!! 30 lb beast in the boat! Biggest one Ive landed in my boat so far!

This guy knows what he's talking about! Big bait big fish!
