Went down to willow beach az yesterday morning and covered alot of water and was rewarded with my new pb If any of you have ever fished that place you know its a tough place to fish. I spent most of 2013 getting skunked. I sought out help from alot of you guys and did ALOT of researching on everything from striped bass behavior and feeding patterns to how trout like to move and postion themselves and feed..hell i even went fly fishing a few times. It wasnt until the end of summer early fall when i got to meet mike (aztrouteaters)and tuan (998ron) that the puzzle pieces started to fit together a little and i was able to apply those strategies to my own ideas. I was even lucky enough to get help from manny chee (whos youtube videos get me all hyped for a day on the water). Even more hard work and and time on the water followed..until things are starting to finally click. nothing crazy big but catching fish more consistenly and locating them a little easier. Then yesterday happened and i learned 2 new things which i will share with you all 1. If you are gonna spend $200 on a bait..buy a decent net...i cheaped out on my net and i almost lost this fish. 2. There is no such thing as a bad cast..i got her on a fouled cast within seconds of clearing a birdsnest

I wasted my money and time on two of the soft glides about 8 months ago. After a long wait to get the baits and paying a rediculus amount in shipping. I hated the way they looked. rubber coating turned green and started chipping after 1 trip. Not only that a tiny dink striper bent the joint in half....they dont sink right, They dont glide right, they are very poorley made, the paint jobs suck, they take for ever to arrive and just to add insult to injury your email gets filled up with junk from them telling you about a sale they are having... They should be avoided at all cost... i still feel burned by the dumbass on instagram who recomended these..! If you dont wanna spent $100+ on a glide bait there are plenty of options roman made negotiator River 2 sea swaver Gan craft jointed claw Savage gear Bikini bait co.

I wouldnt put it in the same class as the deps or hiroshimas but it smokes the tylures. And i like my s waver as much as the negotiator. Do not waste youre money on a tylure soft glide.

Just got a hiroshima 13" the other day and was wondering about putting a feathered front hook on it for targeting purposes. I mostly fish very clear waters for striped bass. Just wandering if you guys have any opinions

Honestly lake mead is tough as hell and un predictable...its ok for striper but if you really want some toads head to willow beach...its a tough river but there are some huge fish there...as far as lake mead goes there are alot of tiny dink largies and some decent small mouth

Went down to willow beach az yesterday. We arrived at about 5 am and fished straight till noon and nothing just one follower on the soft tool but nothing else. The wind died off and the water turned into glass...in places we had as much as 38ft visability. We headed back to the marina to grab some food and rest for half hour. Then off we went again till about 2 when my buddy started to dehydrate and id thrown every single swimbait i had and was getting frustrated and making mistakes. We decided to call it a day. I took my buddy up to the marina store to get some water while i drove the boat to the ramp. I fired out one last cast with the slide swimmer and boom!!! The fish put up a hell of a fight getting airborne twice then thrashing on the surface (giving all the trout fisherman a show) before i got it in the net. I took her to the dock where my buddy was waiting with the trailer in the water. Just for a quick picture then off it went...
