its fairly simple. blank, reelseat, cork/eva grips, guides, and thread. difficulty for a basic build comes when applying finish. that in itself has a learning curve. like in swimbait fishing, LEARN THE BASICS then move on to the decorative wraps, exotic handle materials, etc. rod building can quickly become an expensive hobby. and if you're just starting out or testing the waters, no need for a power wrapper or fancy dryer. when i first started, i used a cardboard box that i cut V notches in. a phone book or other thick book provides enough tension for wrapping. for the dryer, i hand turned the first 2 rods I've ever built. feel free to pm for more info. good luck!

Thanks guys. Pics were just of my biggest ones for the day. Between me and my bro-in-law, we had 30+ fish with an average weight of about 3lbs in a span of about 7 hours.

Stuck some decent fish yesterday on the SS Hyper Herring and the Gliding Gizzard. Unfortunately, no scale, so no weights.
