  1. for sure! but ain't nothing wrong with having a box full of swimbaits! well the only thing wrong is that one doesn't use em
  2. wow..... you guys make me wanna spend more time in the black market. LOL
  3. played around with the 300D and 400D yesterday at my local shop. THIS THING IS NICE! Solid too! it feels as though there are more than just 5 bearings in it. it is A LOT smaller than the TE's. the 400D's palm plate is smaller in diameter than the 300TE - probably only by a millimeter or so - but smaller is smaller... that handle is insane as well! really nice! the handle placement works well too. kinda reminds me of the swept handle feel on the daiwas(KINDA). and the xdrag star knob feels fairly comfortable in its new location. the downside is that the line guide is made of plastic... but yeah, I bought one! now, I just need to get my rod blanks in...
  4. The warranty was void when I purchased it then I guess - It was custom painted already. I'll be going with the 2/0 ST41's then. Thanks guys!
  5. I'm leaning more towards the Calcuttas - and because the 400D will supposedly be smaller than the 300TE I'll probably be eyeing that one
  6. Just purchased my first 3:16 hardbait! A 3:16 Born Again Armageddon. It's gonna be custom painted before it arrives at my door! I'll post pics once I receive the beast! Anyways, I'm not sure if it'll come with the hardware(hooks, split rings) and even if it did, not sure how long they've been on that bait. Either way, I'll be ordering up some new hardware for it and just need to know the original hardware size. Also, should I go with the original Owner 2X ST41's or up it a bit to 3X ST56's? Split rings will be Hyper Wires. Thanks in advance!
  7. line would most likey be 20-30# mono/copoly baits would range from 2-6oz
  8. Going off of my recent post about the purchasing a Daiwa Ryoga 2020, I’ve been rethinking about going back to Shimano for my swimbaiting needs - specifically, the new Calcutta 400D. For the people who have used both the Ryoga/Pluton and the Calcutta TE/Conquest, which reel did you prefer and why?
  9. thanks guys for all of the insight! 2020 it is then!
  10. I think its time for a new reel...Im seriously looking at the Daiwa Ryoga. The problem is, Im stuck on which size I should get - 1016 or 2020? I like the 1016 because of the weight. The 2020 seems a bit heavy for me. I dont think I need all of the drag power that the 2020 has but it doesnt hurt to have it. I'll be happy with the 1016 drag power. I REALLY like it that the 2020 holds more line than the 1016. So I guess my question is, will I be okay tossing 5-9" Bullshads, 6-8" Huds, 7-8" Mission Fishes, and basically all types if midsized swimbaits with 70-90 yds of 25# mono(or however much line the 1016 holds)?
