  1. Here's mine looks great swims not so great, gave it to my youngest since he wanted to play with it with his toys. Hooks off of course.
  2. Had this for awhile and haven't started making it more due to the other baits, but will do more close to topwater season
  3. Striper top water are always the funnest and most exciting. Still a great fish wouldn't mind getting a 14lber. At 9lbs only for me
  4. Thanks for the kind words have been on a search for bigger wipers for awhile now, although state record is st 22lbs
  5. Cuz, im about done with the trout swimmer, I can send it to you and if you can give ching the bass glide that will be with it as well. Thanks
  6. Thanks guys have a couple I'm selling as well. A shad and a carp
  7. Casting may vary from person to person. I have been able cast a 5in bullshad on my dobyns 908. However, I was able to do it on a Calcutta 401te with bocas. It also helps to have a trained thumb and being able to dial in on your reels. Are you free around noon each day? Send me a pm and we can probably meet by bass pro pond
  8. Welcome from another Tulsan. One thing that's worked for me is that eventually you will narrow down your arsenal on to a few confident and forage specific baits. These may vary your rod choices and depending on your rod comfort a h or xh may work well for you in a lot of the lure weight range. If you've fished conventional lures for some time, you may be able to transfer some of your preferences over. As for me I have been able to get away with an xh 8ft rod for a variety of lure weights. But fishing from shore it would benefit to have a longer rod... hope that helps
  9. Have this one at 7in 3oz slow sink, minor paint chips from joints. Shoot me pm
  10. Sumo ninja, this was one from last month. Something similar to this would be good. Hope it helps
  11. Surprisingly enough I was exploring deeper territory so I used a cheaper berkeley boot tail (they have them to the 5 in range) before I used my glides. Must have gotten at the right depth. The other baits i fished a little higher in water column

    Dd hybrid

Was able to get in on an hours worth of fishing and it went great. Finally broke in to the dd range. Was an awesome feeling on the tight lines and drag pulls, caught on plastic boot tail
  13. Thank you slowly getting the paint togethe as I wait for more materials
  14. Just painted this today going to see if it needs fine tuning a bit
  15. Distance has been one of the things I've tried to figure out and really like the round wheels on that aspect. The older Calcutta 400s (b series and te) has a disengaged line guide (moves left and right) when casting. Add bearings on top and you can bomb baits even on 25-30lb line. It is true about rod length as well. When I really need distance I use the dobyns 908. For smaller (up to 2oz) baits I have been able to get my older daiwa zillion to do the job. Get that with an hlc spool and bearings with 40-50lb braid and you will see those baits fly as well. Has been pretty good on a donyns 766 but also does nicely on a 807. Hope that helps. Apologies on being a little long winded.
