Great tips @Rogervang personally when night fishing I tend to stay semi shallow (0-8Feet) regardless of moon phase Just not a big fan of fishing deep at night(Unless its really close to shore like a cliff at steep bank)...I tend to lose my Orientation the father I get away from the shore line at night. Also I try to think of the full moon like it was the sun...Primarily focusing on the “Moon lit” side of the lake...If I fish all night I’ll shift to the other side of the lake as the moon begins to set...Also pay attention to the shadows you cast when the moon is to your back... Early on I spooked a lot of fish with my “Body shadow” by recklessly approaching them with moon to my back (same theory apples when your flipping during the day with the sun high) I’m still amazed how close we can get to fish at night... Anyway I sure can ramble but I hope this helps you

I stay out way past dark a lot...always have my Kimber 45 and my dog Waylon(Chocolate Lab)... A few months ago I was the last one getting back to the ramp around 2 AM. Beached the boat and as I was walking up the ramp a lady stumbled out of the bushes...She started saying “help...help me”... “They got me...” It was hard to see and the first thing I thought was -classic set up...So I put my hand on my pistol and kept backing up towards the closest light- drawing her towards me and the only visible parking lot light. I kept her talking until I could see good enough to feel safe-I quickly realized it was the real deal she was banged up pretty bad and her shirt was torn and she was missing a shoe -I could tell she had been crying and she really needed help. She appeared to be around 40 and really disoriented...She looked like she was about to collapse so I held her up and Dialed 911 and the cops got there about 20 minutes later She claimed she came to the parking lot and there was only one car there when she arrived around 1:30...she got on her phone and was shortly there after pulled from her car at gun point and robbed and beaten. She ran into the woods but her car was stolen and she just hid until someone arrived I guess I missed the action by about 15-20 minutes She left in the ambulance and I never heard the rest...the cops were pretty cool. They had a lot of stories of after dark action at the ramp but none like the one that night! I love hearing these crazy stories!

I throw what I want to fish that day...I know that sounds dumb but Somedays I want to fish a Hinkle all days want to fish a frog! Or pitch docks with a fat ass beaver...I fish how I feel and try to apply it to the area I’m at Ever feel “froggy” in December? Its ok-embrace the urge! I’ve caught several frog fish with snow on the ground...Surprised the heck outa me! But if I wasn’t so ADD and had a little more self control ...My choice would be a Swimbait all day! Big wake bait or a 8in Hudd

Wakebait...Late night /early am...Pay attention to the moon phases! Hudd 68...Tx bass love them in the summer(Especially at night) When it over 100 I usually call it quits somewhere between 11am-6pm It’s just to hot for me and my dog-Hope this helps

MAN! Everybody making some killer stuff!!! WOW GUYS! I have been working on a soft bait for the last few months...then I actually read the rules "Hard baits only"... (I'll post it another thread...alot like the OG Battle shad) Anyway here is what I got so far... I really wanted to improve on my Foil skills. SHOULD I DO SCALES or NO??? What ya'll think i should do?
