  1. My reel popped off three different times and two of those were on different lakes fished the same day. I thought that the ring lock had come loose so I taped it down. A few weeks later it happened again. This had never happened to me before although I had a Newell break in half on a party boat but I still landed that fish. I compared the feet on the reel (Lexa 300) with my other similar reels and the feet are about 20-25% wider than every other one. I have since shaved the sides of the feet down about 20% and I have landed fish since with no issues. The rod is a Dobyn's 807 and it has a basic Fuji reel seat. One of those fish that I lost was 12 plus so I was sick for weeks over that one! As far as WCBB, we are working on volume two. We will most likely release it come October/November.

  2. I use the 2 and the 3 white. I would suggest getting a 64gb card for one so you can film all day. The 64gb micro cards retail for about $100 but I had Best Buy price match Amazon and got it for $60. Four to five extra batteries should cover a long day on the water. Filming in 720p is really all you need. I would not bother buying the wifi remote or even the Bacpac as they just drain battery life. The Windows Live Movie Maker is easy to use. Be prepared for multiple updates etc. as this can be annoying but well worth the trouble.

  3. Thank you for all of the support! I know that we have a long way to go in making this video a success but I am hoping that it will be entertaining to watch when released. My self (Ryan) and Matt really just want to put together the highlights and some of the lowlights of our swimbait season. We will be putting the completed project on You Tube. We both have day jobs so this is just for fun. I don't know how much you will learn from us amateurs but from my float tube angle, you can easily peep my retrieves and so forth.

    Thanks again and tight lines!

  4. I would suggest changing hooks also. I use Owner stx-58tn 3x 2/0. I have landed about a dozen bass (3-14lbs) on the slide swimmer. I have lost a few fish but nothing that was hooked more than 3 seconds. Many people lose fish because they lift the rod too early for the net etc.. I've lost about 1/3 of the bass that I've hooked on the Hudd but I think two big strong trebles on a bait help a lot.

  5. What I learned from this vid is that this guy should have a hundred dd's! He reels in his fish like he is fishing 4lb test! I'm sure there are still spots on lakes in Nor Cal that have not been blasted but not here in So Cal.
