I have a 18.5 Champion and run a 24v 80lb boat does awesome.runs 3mph i can fish 8 to 10 hrs and batteries are still over 50%.now one thing you might consider.what ever brand or power you choose i would HIGHLY recomend one with GPS electric Ancor.i have fished in 40mph winds and the boat stayed right on point.i did reseach for like 7 months and choose the Motor guide XI5 as it has twin gps and stays put as the Minkotta drifts back & forth 15ft.was the best investment i have put on my boat.if i see structure or secondary point i drift back and lock on the spot and never move.....its AWESOME
