    He doesn't mention the magnet but you can clearly see there is one. Also if you read the comments on youtube he mentions it.

    I use a razor blade to cut a small slot in the top of the bait then put the small rare earth magnet in and put 316 glue over the hole make sure not to close the skin back over the magnet though. I also use 80 lb mono and a 100lb crimp and rig the treble like butch.

    I believe I used a rare earth magnet it's pretty strong. 99% of the time I don't need the pin to hold the hook in place the magnet alone will hold it. The trick is to have the magnet partially exposed I'll post a pic up later of what mine looks like.

    Cool video. I'd love to get my hands on a Weedless rising son. Are the Weedless rising son and the mission fish 2.0 prototype Matt peters fished the same bait?

    +1 I do the exact same thing. I put a magnet in the top of my hudd to hold the hook in place and one of the pins to hold it down I saw mike long do it in a YouTube video.

    I have a few soft baits as well and some cheaper hard baits. But these are my favorite baits so far. The punker I just got hopefully I can try it out soon.

    I use #1 st-36's on my 8 inch tt and haven't had any issues. I have bent my fair share of #2 st-36's on a super spook.

    I tied a improved clinch for a while and about a year ago switched to a uni knot. I feel the uni clinches down better with heavier line.

    I had a 175 ss and wasn't a fan. I haven't used a negotiator so can't say anything about that bait.
