Thanks guys. @Bigwilliestyle I'm in Crofton MD it's about 45 minutes away from smallwood state park.

I contacted my buddy yesterday and told him we needed to get out to fish I had a feeling that we were going to get something big. Turns out my feeling was right we went out to one of our nice little spots and started chucking big wake baits. The first hour and a half we had not a single bite and was looking like my intuition was wrong. So I decided to just start dead sticking the bait for about 30 seconds to a minute and on the second cast doing so I got slammed by a hawg. I don't know how big it was because I forgot my scale but I'd say it was 8-9lb. I ended up having a few more fish roll on my bait but just kept missing it. Here is a little video and some pictures

I have a EXO and really like it. I mainly use it as my frog reel but I have also tied on a leader and thrown baits 2-4oz without an issue. I usually only use daiwa and shimano but came across a great deal I couldn't turn down and it has worked out great for me.
