  1. I can't believe this worked. But I have a 2006 Triton 196tr. I fish the delta this time of year. If you pay for gas and launch fees. Your in. ;)pm me or call at 20964877774
  2. Thanks for the information guys. I talked to the manufacture, he said they are the 8 inch version. I'll try some different stuff. I just got the rat, no report yet but the look awesome in the swimming pool
  3. Ya I just bought the 6 in at Wally World but I think that tail on it is an 8in cut 1/2 to an inch. It's a much fatter tail.
  4. I hear you guys. I seem to have bad luck with tails. Lost and ac plug tail on the first fish a couple weeks ago. But thanks for the info.
  5. Would you guys go with the creme worm? Zoom trick worms are not as pricy but they do not have the live color that is already on the rat? I doubt the color makes a huge difference but if i'm wrong or if you would buy one over the other, please let me know why. thanks
  6. I ended up buying the johnny rat in brown. What do you guys use as replacement tails? Can you buy the same tail or will just any rubber worm do?
  7. I'm completely new to rats. But are you guys saying the pb rat is great or does it actually suck. I just know, I can't find one on the net, so I'm assuming they are sweet baits???
  8. Just keep posting pics til you get to 150 I'd love to go for one of these because I love throwing my homemade rat and I'd like to see a professionally made one against my hand sanded rat but I'm nowhere near 150 Oh well, I'll just keep at it with mine. Busted 4 of em on it earlier tonight as a matter of fact! The biggest one spit it at me before I got the 'ol thumb on her . . . Lol
  9. Last post on this topic, i promise. The pic of the 8+ above is only a baby compared to this one. But this one came off a soft plastic 68 special not a wake bait. But still, she nice to like at. Alright I'm starting to feel like a bum begging for change at the grocery store...peace.
  10. Shoot, I just noticed the 150 post thing. My bad. But Austin, I say forget those rules and send one my way anyhow ha! I teach school and in 3 weeks I'm going to be fishing the California delta 2 days or more a week for almost 3 months. Your rat will be worn out by then . I'm just messing with you, rules are rules. Cool contest though. But just for good measure Here is an 8+ I caught last year on the delta.
  11. Here are others. If your on a PC they are going to be sideways. I apologize.
  12. Way cool of you to do something like this. Let me be straight up with you, I do not own one rat bait but have been trying to find a rat I like to fish the california delta this summer with. However, I am a swimbait fishing fanatic and have caught many in the years past on wake baits and the like. I'll post a few pictures of some of my bigger swimbait fish.
  13. I should have said one joint or two. Now what is the correct answer
  14. Do you guys prefer the 3 or 2 joints? Why?
  15. Ya, I think I got the PB rat and the el raton mixed up. Any idea where I can find a PB rat and maybe a video to see the action?
  16. Does anyone have video of the action on the cl8 rat or the morning wood?
  17. Also, I'm probably only going to own one for a while, so I want it to be enourmace
  18. I know this topic has been discussed before and have read some the other threads. But I am wanting to buy a rat bait, very soon. I have never owned one but think they would be a fun bait to throw. I'm not really interested in pay a $100 plus for one, unless i was convinced that the lure excelled over others. I really like the swim of the johnny rats and was getting ready to buy one until I just bought another deps 250. Having said all that, what rat would you recommend below $100? I know I don't want a rago rat of any kind but other than that, I'm open to suggestions. A few rats I was thinking about were Austin lure rat Morning wood...2 piece or 3? PB rat, which is around $100...if so, were can you find these for sale? And as stated above the Johnny's rat which is over the $100 mark. But I really like the way it swims and wakes Thanks Jared
  19. Dude, you the man. I don't know you Don, so I have to ask,are you fishing private or public waters because if your catching them on a public lake, you better start fishing tourneys there cuz you will be making money, lots of money
  20. Thank you guys very much. My goal last year was to catch a double digit. It never happen. But, this fish exceeded my expectations and goals. Finally, a fish that is over 8 1/2 lbs! It is exciting, even still as I type this response.
