Have plans during my spring break on driving up to fresno meet up with friend have not seen in a while and toss some swimbaits. He lives close to millerton and i planned on fishing there 1st day before shooting up to the delta for couple days and hopefully swing by eastman on way back down. I was going to roll with my sears bass hound which is basically a little 2 seater jon boat but pefect for trophy hunting. I was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up when im up there toss some baits or if anyone has any suggestions or tips on where i should stop and fish. Really would like to get my first spottie and smallie and i think millerton would be my best bet for that. However i here its a tough lake but i was thinking if i could fish it at night i might have better odds? Its a little early but im trying to get a gameplan of some sort before i leave but i dont mind just hitting the road and whatever piece of water i see that catches my eye ill check out. I appreciate any comments feedback advice suggestions or good vibes my way still about 10 days away but im excited.

i like the 5 most of the time but in some situations where shore drops off quickly or you know its deep close to shore or when you just want to bounce a bait uphill the 12 will catch fish from shore too and as a bed bait lol

I was wondering if anyone knew if Jerry Rago is going to have a booth at the Show or if you know which vendors would be selling his baits. ya i did i have a bunch of tripple trouts and that punker was a nine inch

ya i did work in feburary with that punker than last week i lost it at silverwood at night or i would have been able to see it floating... if i was by myself i would of stayed whole night than looked for it next day lol but my friend is not quite as insane if you know anyone else with a punk like that and wants sell it or trade im down

Went to the wood last night this was i think my sixth time here since November and i got my first striper here. It wasnt the biggest but i was stoked becasue i saw it eat my Tylure not far from shore and becasue i have never caught a fish in snow before lol. I was with a buddy who had work early in morning so i was out of there by 10 pm or i would have stayed all night. Also the last striper was consumed via fish and chips this one will become tacos .

I am not sure if this is the right fourm but here goes ...... went to silverwood last night long story short i lost my sbi painted 9 inch lunker punker off marina point. It broke off while casting it didnt land to far but far enough where i could not see it anymore. I know this is a long shot but if anyone finds it and wants some good karma plus a reward contact me here by PM thanks for reading.

went to castaic during the storm on tuedsay was there seven am to 11 am for one blow up had to get back to compton for class at 2 professor let us out early drove back to castaic had from 430 to 545 to fish around 5 i got this 12 pound 4 oz striper on punker i was only one on lake lifeguard took pic for me weighed it down at gallions ......i guess they stocked the next day and they bit well but its more rewarding knowing you were the only one out during the storm and you get em i shoulda probally kept fishing but i was content with what i had and if anyone is upset i kept it nuts to you i spend enough money on gas swimbaits tackle entrance fees to lakes deal with angry girlfriends i can feed my parents a striper and not be chastized for it but anyways thanks for taking time to read my report sorry for bad punctuation im not an english major lol

shoulda took pic with it in mouth she inhaled it all 3 hooks in her she saw a trout skipping for its life put the punker 10 ft past last spot saw trout go down figure bass was facing that way couple of twithces later she slurped it down thought it was striper at first but it didnt pull drag and she did head shake at surface .....went back sunday for last hour missed a striper on punker anyone down for nightime silverwood this week ill be there dodging bears and mountain lions if anyone down

got this nice largie at castaic dam on friday had to go through rain hail before i got bit she crushed it on the pause .... cool website been doing the swimbait thing on and off since 2000 used to be on calfishing.net and trophybassonly el dorado park lake and castaic are my home lakes been trying to dial in the silverwood stripers and ive gone down to dixon a lot in years past but ive just gotten back into the swing of things and looking forward to posting more in future
