  1. From start to finish. 6", 3pc, 3oz. Much better than my first attempt The rough bandsaw cuts Head sanded and detail carved Clearcoating The final product From the front Tell me what ya think! It's getting a swim test and gopro video as soon as the clearcoat holding the bill in place dries.
  2. I would love one!!!.. cant afford them though, I can barely afford baits. Im only 15 so my spending is very limited, I just bought my first swimbait reel (cardiff). Maybe Christmas Id rather have more baits than a nice rod I know I probably dont need. Im not very picky about my gear. I feel your pain dude (even though I'm 16 with a job)! I would suggest an Okuma XH 7'11". I just got one and it is awesome for the price. Very light for the power it has.
  3. PRICE REDUCED $40 TYD C'mon guys that's under 60% of what I bought it for and it is perfectly funtional. Pm me!
  4. This site has gotten way better since butch got here.
  5. Gill SOLD! Baby Wake still available. $65 TYD That's a steal guys!
  6. probably both it's caught at least 15 fish.
  7. It covers every angle. If they smack it from the back right, you get em. Back left, same. Front left, same. Front right, same. They are probably more effective on hardbaits than softbaits.
  8. PRICE REDUCED $95 TYD for both, $65 TYD for the 3:16, $35 TYD for the gill
  9. If you think those are good try the big dipper......dynamite!
  10. Selling a Gan Craft Jointed Claw 178 glide. 7", 2oz. It's the floating model. Great for when fish want something that basically suspends. It can be deadsticked, jerked on the surface, or retrieved in short pulls or smooth reeling a foot under the surface. Great for picking apart cover when the fish are spooky. I like it, just need to fund a proper swimbait reel. It has a good amount of hook rash. I'd say it is 6.5/10 cosmetically. 10/10 functionally. I'm throwing in an extra tail with the bait as well. $50 TYD. Need this gone so I can get myself a Lexa 300! Help a teenager out guys! Thanks. PM me if you're interested.
  11. Up for grabs is a 3:16 Baby Wake and a Mattlures Baby Hardgill 3:16 Baby Wake 6" 2.3oz 8.5/10 condition I made a tail mod to this bait by taking the pin out and using a worm. I had to drill a hole on each side. I restored the bait to its stock form and filled in the holes with white epoxy. You can barely tell anything was done when you look at it closely. It has caught 2 fish. Minimal hook rash. Mattlures Baby Hardgill 4.5" 1oz 9.5/10 condition Bait has only been fished a few times and has caught one fish. It is still in near-perfect condition except the paint is gone a little from the eyelets. No hook rash. Looking for $100 TYD for the pair, or $70 TYD for the Baby Wake and $40 TYD for the gill if they get split up. PM me! Need to fund a swimbait combo. Thanks guys.
  12. Is that rat bait just called a dirty rat? who makes it? Im looking for a rat soon rago
  13. More like trying to save one for yourself! You da man butch!
  14. That hudd is absolutely mangled! It ran its course for sure. I saved the tail to make a shad 46 LOL. I'm gonna get a weedless shad, cut the tail off, and use mend-it to put the 6" tail on it.
  15. I have been fishing my 8" TT a ton lately and getting some fish but after hitting an area with it I still spook some fish off the bank occasionally. It seems like they are not aware of the bait when it goes past them. If I catch it more parallel to the shore I won't be able to get it above the scum on the bottom without fishing too fast for how the fish want it. The question: What are a few baits that will create a lot of water displacement without being too obnoxious? A wake or rat is too obnoxious for the mood of the fish for example. They aren't wanting to hit topwaters at all. Baits must be SS.
  16. Sick thread idea Here's a hudd after 30+ fish and a couple snapping turtles chewing on it- the turtles ate the fins. Don't have any destroyed hardbaits yet.
  17. Does the line go through the bait and out the bottom once you tie it on or across the flank? It would be dumb if it sat sideways IMO. Love the hook idea, but will they bite the head 100% of the time?
  18. I think you MA guys have portals in the bottoms of all your lakes that upchuck socal fish haha
  19. Thanks for all the words of wisdom guys. Went out yesterday afternoon at my usual pond with nothing but my swimbait setup and my swimbaits determined to stick a good fish and got a 3.8. Pic in the fishing report section. Got my confidence back a little: now for a 5+!
