  1. I'd settle for one of those at this point. I'm stuck in tha rut.
  2. I threw Arms with mine, so it should handle the SS 250. The BAs were definitely at the upper end of where I felt comfortable but didn't feel like it would damage the rod. Thanks guys, that's what I thought. I toss hudds, 8" punkers all the way to my 6oz wake on it so I figured it'd be fine. Thanks for the words!
  3. Sorry to highjack the thread.... David (or anyone else), Have you thrown a SS250 on the xh Okuma? If so, how did it handle? I'm wanting to pick up a 250 but don't have a XXH right now so I was thinking about tossing it on the Okuma I have.
  4. Congrats Disbrow! See what happens when you pick a swimbait back up.
  5. Good job man, those look really good!
  6. Nah, bud. I'm just 6'5" tall with NBA hands and have friends tell me on the reg that I make 5#'ers look like dinks. rest assured that I had it on my scale and leveled out on 5.05#, 21"fish. Yes it was my first swimbait fish but I have been bass fishing for quite some time as well as fish tournaments regularly and don't have any problems with telling you if it were a 3 or 4 pound fish.
  7. I've been spending a kit of time tossing Hudds and a BBZ1 the past two weeks and finally got rewarded with my first Hudd fish yesterday. Nothing big at 21.5" and just over 5#. http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g42 ... 5651b8.jpg http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g42 ... e6aedd.jpg Sorry about the links, i couldn't figure out to resize them on my phone. Needless to say, I'm completely addicted to big baits now.
  8. ^Truth. Welcome to the forum Jesse! Yeah, the last thing my wife needs to know is that I've found another way to spend money fishing.
  9. Well said Welcome to the forum Jesse Thanks guys! Thats funny, Sean is the guy who told me to check this forum out and I've actually lost some lunch money to him in a tourney this year already, so at least the initial sting has come and gone . I'm hoping to pick his brain (as well as the rest of you) and get some tips as I go along.
  10. I'm just getting started with swimbaits and a buddy pointed me here. Looks like there's a lot of good info on the site. Thanks for adding me!
