  1. STOP SAYING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! The notion that you cant patent something from nature is completely wrong period!!!!!!! go ask ANY patent lawyer. And yes many individual baits are patented. That's what design patents are for. You can also copyright your original artwork. Meaning an original sculpture. So if somebody molds your bait you can sue them with just a copyright which is easy to get compared to a patent. Utility patents cover how thing work. original designs and or ideas can be protected by different patents, trade marks and copyrights. the 10% is false to. If a jury or judge thinks somebody infringed then they loose period. All anybody has to do is call a patent lawyer and they will tell you all this. I believe when it comes to copyrights Mickey could get them now and they would protect his original artwork and he could go after anybody who molds his baits. I am also guessing this has very little to do with money. If the counterfitters main motivation was making money then he would most likely not be posting pics showing he is making fake baits. He also wouldn't be telling his potential customers they are fake. If the guy was about making money he would be trying to pass them off as real 3:16's that have just been repainted to get top dollar. Since this guy is telling people they are his fakes I am thinking he is trying to purposely get at Mickey. I could be completely wrong but this is my interpretation of his actions. And before any of you even think to ask. NO I would not have anything whatsoever to do with this situation. I don't care why the guy copied Mickey, it's steeling and its wrong.
  2. IMO a lot of small reels will work but many of them only last a season or 2. This is not specific to any one small reel as I am sure some are better then others.
  3. I didn't design my tail to get around other patents. I designed it to get the most action out of any speed. Now I am patent pending, getting my own patent. You guys will see it looks totally different then any of the other tails but more important is the way it swims. It has that beautiful slow motion swim when fished ultra slow but when you speed them up, that's when they really come alive. They have a very aggressive thump. If you watched Ryans video when he caught his 10lber, look at how fast he's retrieving the bait. That tail was thumping good when the fish bit. Most soft baits have a sweet spot where they excel at one particular speed. This is why guys like to fish boot tails when its warm and slower tails when it cold. my new tailed baits swim exceptional at all realistic speeds. Oh yeah and I believe they thump harder then any comparable soft bait.
  4. Hmm I am not sure. I would guess that the one with all the paint missing was not painted by Jeremy.
  5. There is a reason I never released a lipless Meat head. Because I didn't like the way they swam. I assume you will end up with the same results.
  6. Almost all of the BDB have always been made in China. The exception is the few customs that were made. Even the LTD's were made in China, they were just painted here. This is why they have had paint issues before. The ones that Jeremy painted himself (the limited ones) are beautiful and 10x better then the standard colors that were and are made and painted in china
  7. The action is pretty much the same. Think of the difference between the baby hardgill and the standard hardgill. That's about the difference in the big hardgill and the standard, if that makes any sense. The swim is the same, its just bigger. The molds will be finished this week and production will start in 2 weeks so they are a little ways out. I am just finishing a huge batch of standard hardgills in all my new colors. They just need to be test swam and packaged. However it takes a little while to swim 400 baits. I should get those up on my site in a week or 2
  8. I put my SS at around ROF 3-5 and the mediums are around 8-10 water temps, line, snaps, changing hooks, etc. will all have an effect on sink rates
  9. Sometimes manufacturers use things like that to align parts in their molds. Often they can double as hook hangers, like belly hook hangers on top hook baits. Don't know if that's whats going on with your bait but its possible.
  10. Loved the review and greatly appreciate the amount of effort you put into these reviews. Thank You!

  19. My web lady is having a hard time installing a counter so I quietly put them up on my website. So far it has been manageable as I have sold most of them without being overwhelmed or over selling.
  20. Yeah I don't send tracking because that takes a lot of time to go through a bunch of orders every time I ship and send out emails. That's a lot of time I could be spending making baits. Your order has been shipped and you will probably get it in the next day or 2
  21. Your already starting with the wrong mindset. The word starter implies cheaper, smaller, and or a numbers type baits. Most guys with a "starter" mindset end up buying a bunch of cheaper baits that don't produce a lot of big bites. The correct way to "start" swimbaiting is to get a few high quality, proven baits and get out and fish them. Trust me if you spend $100-$150 on 2-3 quality proven baits you will be FAR better off then buying 10 baits that will end up never getting used. Either you will figure out that they are not as good and you will go out and buy a few good baits or you wont see the results you wanted and go back to conventional gear. So you want a good Starter swimbait? Excluding mine because I am obviously bias, I say go get an 8in Hudd or a Hudd 68. Get a good wake bait and or a good rat. Get a good hard thumping sinking hard bait. Resist the temptation to buy cheap starter baits.
  22. I had to stop taking emails because its difficult to keep track of inventory when money is not always paid instantly or when guys don't know exactly which baits they want or which ones are available. So I allowed enough email orders to be safe and not over sell. As soon as my web lady gets my site updated I will do the release.
  23. Ok fellas no more emails. The rest will be released on my site once I get these all shipped out. I dont want to over sell again. Thanks for your support.
