Thanks all!! Thanks You Matthew for getting me into this swimbait fishing and your advise!! I always thought small before I saw you working and catching on the big swimbaits!!! Made me a believer in bigger is better!!!

Yesterday I got my 1st 5.6 lb. LM on a Lunker Punker at dawn within my 1st 18 casts but the bite died the minute it got light. So after yesterday with the fishing dying at dawn I decided to get up and start fishing ~2 hours earlier then I normally do. What happens is it was dead silent all morning and I feared a skunk was on!!! Then at dawn I had 1 fish boil on my lure twice so I reel up fast since a slight breeze was pushing me in that direction to position and cast again. At the end of reeling quickly as the Punker gets to the kayak, a big boil happens right at the boat and scares to you know what of me, lol!! I never did get that fish to strike again so I moved on. Anyways by now it’s light and I finally get a 14†long bass, then shortly later a 4.2 lb. bass and at 8:30 a personal best 8.9 lb., 25 â€long and 17.25†girth. All the LM hit the Punker which is a blast to fish I was stoked!!! The next challenge was a good picture of my PB so I tried holding it as far out as I could, then laying it on the floor of my Pro Angler, but finally a pontoon boat comes by a sees me with the fish and helps me record my PB. Did I say I'm stoked!!

I got this 5.58 lb. LM on the 6" injected Lunker Punker within the 1st 18 casts right before dawn. Thought it was going to be a real good day based on the start, but other than a miss fish which left a scale on the hook and a follower (follower was on a S-Waver after dawn) it became real tuff and quiet. I'm sold on the Lunker Punker it's fun to fish!! Sorry about the quality of the 2nd shot.

Had 1.5 hours to go practice using my swimbait and got another nice 5.25 lb LM on the 168 s-waver!! This is the 2nd 5+ lb LM on the swimbait in a little over a week since I bought one!! I wish they'd open the lakes again around here while the politicians decide on a budget!!!

Well I haven't had anything to post swimbait related until now since I'm new to both thid form and using swimbaits!! My 1st LM using a swimbait was a 12.5" long LM barely larger then the almost 7 inch long swimbait, lol!! It broke the ice anyways. Later on in the day I got my PB LM at 5.52 lbs!!! The head seemed a little small thou compare to the thicker stocky body for a fish it's size. As I was fighting the fish another one about the same size was giving chase also which was cool!! Had a few other larger fish follow my stuff, but wouldn't take it. I guess working on the retrieve is needed. Good time out on the lake thou and using a swimbait is definitely addicting!!!!!
