    I have both a 867 and a 908. Both are awesome. Yes the 867 has a soft tip but it’s great. I have thrown negotiators on the 867 and OG 250’s on it with no problem. I personally thing the new slide swimmers are just a tad to much for it. I say that because I have a 908 and it can fling whatever you want lol. The 867 CAN throw a new slide swimmers but I just choose not to because I have a 908. People will probably prefer other custom rods like lowdown and F5 (which are badass) but I do a lot of bank fishing as well and the extra length of the dobyns helps with longer casts.     I’m not to sure about combos under 175 but If you don’t have any luck try looking into a dobyns Fury rod. It’s a great rod for a great price. Best of luck!

    Have a used but in great condition 807. A little piece of heat shrink missing. Used about 6 times. Got the rod a little over a month ago. Great rod just don’t use it anymore. Pm for more pics.
