This guy is legit! He replied, packaged, and shipped my bait faster than any online purchase I can recall. Bait was packaged like a pro... never seen anything like it haha could have taken a direct hit from a 7.62 and still swam correctly. Thanks bud!!!

I didn't read all three pages of this thread but I signed a while back to stop this nonsense. All the meth and crack houses around the Delta are okay I guess; however, the invasive violent little bass are the real issue because they eat poor helpless bait fish... It's on the internet so it must be science... right? I'm fairly certain that politicians are the most important thing that needs to be removed from CA waters.

I see your point and that's a good example... it hits too close to home haha It's off topic and I don't really care to go research the exact numbers; however, should you really want to see how poor of examples I gave... look up the numbers on something as stupid as what cotton candy or popcorn gets purchased and then sold for.

Supply and demand haha j/k man. Actually, one of the guys who liked your post was kind enough (years ago) to help me add to my collection and give me some great advice along with a bait for around retail. He could have went much higher and I appreciate him being a stand up dude and I'll always take the same approach; however, it's life man and that occurrence has been rare. If you don't want it at that price don't buy it. If you're hell bent on not getting taken by flippers then don't buy gasoline, popcorn, houses, cars, phones, cotton candy, beer, electricity, cigarettes, cable TV etc... Actually you might as well not buy anything because these days if there is a situation to make $ someone is there to do it and due to demand someone is there to pay for it. Just a thought

Great idea but I have to disagree. It's supply and demand, and with no demand there would not be a supply. There won't even be a reason to create a supply rather than that of the personal use of a the craftsman making the bait. Why would a dude make a bait for a stranger unless he stood to make a profit? None of the greats make their baits for anyone to have a better life haha... Now to incorporate the flippers, how many additional people gain interest in a bait that goes for 2 to 10 times its retail price? People assume it must be amazing and despite never even seeing it swim end up swarming in and paying top dollar, this may even be intensified by pics with that bait hanging out of the mouth of a toad. This creates additional interest of other baitmakers to try and jump on the band wagon. Without the above we would have very few glide baits and certainly those who got into the game in the later stages would not have ever thought to create such baits without knowing that there was a profit involved. The work is driven by a hobby that is profitable, even if someone is passionate about it and it's thought of as an art... it's still sold because of profit. The better the work the more hype, the more hype the greater the profit; however, and most importantly, the better the product. I'm sure someone can shoot holes all threw this argument but it's just something I was thinking about after a few beers haha. I guess I just feel like rich people drive R&D which results in better products or even products that would not have existed. The day prices have to drop due to lack of interest is the day some truly great baits that have not yet seen production get thrown to the way side. aww screw it... Death to the flipper!

Andrew took excellent care of me and helped me out big time early on. Super chill guy, but haven't heard from him in a couple years I think... Since after being told I was on the list for another trout. It sucks being in limbo but he seems like a legit dude. Just make sure you don't get forgotten about. And sorry Don but messages are not returned... Maybe for you but that's not standard across the board. Just my experience. Baits are obviously worth the wait though.

Enjoyed the video but damn that sucks. Seeing her mouth still open as the bait pulls away from it is hard to watch, another split second and she might have had it. I feel for you man, on one hand catching it on video is awesome... on the other that ish is going to haunt you for a minute or two. Sorry bud

Not that the guy needs anymore positive feedback but after a recent purchase from him it's pretty obvious that he's a stand up guy. Gracias Amigo

Maybe try to put an appropriately sized treble on the line before tying your knot that connects your bait to the line. Check and see if it swims okay. Also, you may have problems with the treble not staying towards the nose of the bait during pauses, for this you could try some type of bobber stop or just connect the treble to a split ring. This mod works for larger sized flutter spoons so you might as well give it a try... as long as the bait doesn't swim all funky I bet your hook up ratio increases if they are only eating the bait nose first. Also I doubt aggressive small mouth or northern strains will be finicky enough to care about the hooks presence. This is just a thought though, and maybe a dumb one as I've never tried it myself; let us know.

I used to mess them up on the various small lakes within "Canadian Lakes" before I moved to San Diego. Not sure what is accessible to the public anymore but I think it's about 45 mins away from the Mt. Pleasant area if I remember correctly. It's been a long time and at one point the Northerns started taking over and the bass pop seemed to be stunted as compared to the late 90's. If you can get on the water over there I would assume you still have a shot at some good fish. I never saw any other small water produce like those lakes while I was living in MI.
