I was amazed also, at least I know where I can find her again... I could not tell with the red-plastic over it but I took it off and it appears the 'Rope' broke. I also spoke with a RomanMade representative for the US and they said they have never heard of this before and it must of been a Manufacturing Defect. Precision Tackle was more than helpful and shipped a new rope replacement for free! Here are some pictures of what I found.

Hey Guys, have you any of you had issues with the Negotiator Custom (Top hook model)? Today, I had a big girl bust off the hook farthest to the back. As you can imagine I am very disappointed in its performance. The bait is brand new and only been fished 3 times before today (with out any hook ups). Although I had my drag locked down, I would expect the 30 lb Fluro to break before having a hook come clean off. I would love to hear your guys thoughts on this. Chris

If you are looking for a all around solid Rem 700 without going way over board on the price tag, check out the 700P (police tactical). Nothing over the top fancy and it comes with a great bull barrel. It is very easy to find accessories and people who can do some custom work on it. Very field functional but also has has the capabilities to reach out as far as 308 will let you. You can never go wrong with a nice leupold and some larue mounts. I have had mine for 4 years now and have been more than happy with it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have heard great things about Lake Fork. I was just trying to help out on fishing around town that would be a good place to stop for a hour or so during a business trip. Hope it helps.

I lived in the Dallas area for 7 years or so. I have never had any luck on the lakes around the metroplex. Grapevine was 5 min. away and is known for having an very tough bass fishing lately. Golf course ponds and neighborhood ponds are your best bet. Many neighborhoods have their ponds professionally managed for their younger kids to have something to catch. Often times some pigs will be mixed in and itching to hit.
