Took a 9" suick to the top of the head when I was around 10 casting for muskie's. My thumb slipped off the spool and the bait went straight up and came back down on my head and about knocked me over. My dad clipped off the shank of the hook and we kept fishing for about an hour before heading for the hospital.
Like others have said they are on the small side. They are a bit stiffer than say a Hudd but they do shimmy side to side on the fall. I've caught a bunch of fish on them with a few decent sized fish but tend to throw bigger baits these days.
Wrapped up my MN season with this chunky 5.79lber. She hit a perch colored Dream Smasher Swimbait on a slow steady retrieve on a rock flat. Always depressing to winterize the boat but I got to go out with a bang this year.
Well I held these baits for 3 weeks for a guy short on cash and it turns out now he doesn't want them.. So all three are back up. Would still like to sell them as a lot but will split them up. 130$ tyd for all 3.
Awesome write up! I have targeted walleyes for many years and caught plenty of them bass fishing but never have I seen one caught on a top water. Well done!
I have a super duty that I've thrown my smaller swimbaits on, 1.5-2.5oz, for the past 2 years and it has worked well. There are better options out there for bigger baits.
Been on a fishing hiatus lately. Finally got out to fish my 178 and 230 wrapped by Grady both in a perch pattern. Dude has talent and these baits are going to produce like crazy. Ended up with 3 fish on the 178 today.
