I watched a most incredible explosion once on a buzzbait my friend was fishing and that’s literally what got me hooked on bass fishing… throw in the 420 habit to get “buzzed bait” and here we are like nearly 15 years later, same name!

Finally got me some legit rain gear! Also got that anetik x SU guide shirt, 8” hudd, low float mini trucha and the WCZ wood board. Santa was good to me!!!

Lateral vision makes some nice stuff for sure. Ceaser with Toxic baits has some great stuff available. Working class zero is another source I get stuff from. BUT I’m kinda partial to my Swimbait Underground gear!! Hats, hoodies, shirts, it’s all top notch and superior quality. I can also personally attest that their customer service far exceeds expectations.

To answer your actual question, and from someone who actually owns and uses both rods you’re asking about…. If you plan on throwing strictly glides or other treble hooks baits I’d opt for the leviathan. It is a bit lighter which is nice but its really made for treble hooks with the parabolic bend, especially when you’ve hooked a fish and fighting it. That said, the LDC will absolutely perform the task at hand. The great thing about the LDC heavy is that you could also throw most all of your soft baits on that same rod and have the power/backbone needed for the hook set.

I mean probably mostly depending on your casting style. A more gentle lob cast will be necessary and not a “whippy” kind of cast like I’m known to do!

Yes it will work, not ideal if you ask me but I have done it. I really do prefer the heavy omega for the klash 9. Will be fantastic for those baits you’ve listed.

For the rod storage I much prefer them to be vertical. In the 12 or so years I’ve fished from a kayak the only rods I’ve broken were when I had them laying down horizontally and ran into something and broke the tip. That said if I was to fish a moving river I would figure out a way to keep them laying down and not vertical because that’s a whole other deal…. something like this memory foam seat cushion can make a HUGE difference in a day! There’s no telling how many 10+ hour days I’ve put on this kayak (yesterday being one) and that little seat cushion can really help your back. I also try to make it a point to get out of the kayak for a lunch break and stand and stretch and move my legs that can really help just readjust your position from being hunched over all day. I own a bass boat and still there’s no way I’d even think about getting rid of the yak. I’ve put more miles and hours on this thing than my wife should have allowed by now!!
