  4. Priority will go to those that read ENTIRE post and follow instructions/requests. I will sell based on order of messages received. Not on when/if you posted on the thread (i.e. if you post in the thread "I'll take the ...." but you don't message me, you do NOT have a spot in line for the bait. Send me a pm with the bait(s) you want and you'll either be first and it's yours, or you'll be in line. I will respond to all PM's (unless you didn't follow instructions, then I'll ignore you, lol) All prices are TYD and include PayPal fees (if you want to pay f & f, cool, I have plenty of references), but my listed price includes the fees). All prices are firm. I will not accept offers. If you make me an offer you do NOT have a spot in line, and I will sell to the first person who says they'll take it even if you messaged me first with your offer. The only "discount" will be shipping related. I factored in $8 shipping for each bait, so if you buy more than one I'll see what it cost me to ship and refund you the difference (e.g. if you buy three baits and it only costs me $15 to ship I will refund you $9). No trades. Trade offers will be ignored and you will NOT have a spot in line. I will NOT hold baits. I expect payment within a reasonable time or the bait goes to the next in line. I will update the post when a bait is sold Okay, enough from me. Baits are as pictured: Hinkle trout custom carp paint (lsb paints I think) slow sink, original hardware. $275 Hinkle shad, custom Kokanee (lsb paints) slow sink (almost xss) decoy quads. $225 3:16 10" Sport Kokanee, latest drop (not og), slow sink. Original hardware $275 3:16 Workhorse Kokanee, slow sink, decoy quads $220 Roman Made Negotiator NIB premium bass $225 Sly Guy 9" trout, slow sink, original hardware $160 3:16 wake jr. Trout, I think this has heavier hooks than stock but I can't recall, $150 Phoney shad glide, baby/spotted bass pattern, XSS, stock hardware $170 DBDT gill glide, slow sink, stock hardware $75 Dockrat 7" shad glide, slow sink, new with original hardware, $100 Deps 250 slide swimmer flash gill (needs repair) I believe this was an SK convert and the previous owner used lead putty which held up fine in CA but did not survive the southern heat and seems to have melted and leaked out from the skin. Bait actually swims damn good but will be best in the hands of someone who knows their way around og 250's $110 WCZ citizens 7" (I think the color was desert) NIB $75 WCZ Citizens 6" (also think the color was desert) $60 I also have two custom rods available: Phenix 7'11" ML umbx swimbait classic 1-2 oz spiraled right (pm me for pics and details on this) $225 Phenix 7'11" M1 inshore 1-3 oz spiraled left (pm me for pics and details on this) $200
  5. I need a couple super clean 2013 lefty metaniums. They're my favorite reel and I've acquired enough aftermarket parts to build another two reels out. I want to trade for them. I have baits and a couple swimbait rods I've built that I can offer in trade. Text is the best way to reach me (208)-8(one)8-694(six). Thanks su crew.
  6. Hey su crew, looking for shimano handles. Prefer the brands mentioned in the title, would be open to livre as well. Nor really interested in drt, gomexus, or hawgtech. I don't need knobs. I've got cash or baits to trade, let me know what you got.
  7. Beautiful rods. That zero inspired a lot of builders, including myself.
  8. Bump two rods still available. Ultra classic and M1 still for sale.
  9. Have a used Lexa 400. $110 shipped to lower 48. Acquired the reel in a lot I bought and don't need anything this big. 7/10 cosmetic (though I'm a perfectionist) feels solid internally (no knocking noises, drag tightens up, brakes all work etc...) See pics for detail.
  10. Hey @merkexpress Nice looking builds! I spiral wrap everything so guide placement isn't as important (at least on the runners). My rod building teacher told me the stripping guide should be roughly 18-22 inches from the center of the spool. He also said that in casting rods it doesn't matter all that much since the love is just coming straight off. I'm sure other people have opinions and maybe more educated ones that I have, but thought I'd share what I know. Good luck.
  11. @chefchris no problem man. Good luck with the build. @Bass_blaster Those look sweet!!!! Love that purple crackle. Dope builds man.
  12. @chefchris Hey man, I use the matagi painted reel seats on almost all my builds. I get them from Casey over at voodoo rods (he and his wife run a tight ship and are super cool). In my experience the matagi painting process is the best in the business. I have found them to be durable and really color accurate (not a bait and switch with the catalog looking nice and the product looking spray painted). That said, I've had a couple of my gloss black trigger seats ding and nick at the tip of the trigger. I can send you pics of what I'm talking about if you like. The matte paint seems to hold up best and the "rubber feel" on top of paint seems to hold up even better. the dings in my gloss black have been more like small chips from the trigger point banging into stuff or grinding against other things, also the gloss black also shows wear more easily so it's more noticeable. Let me know if you have any other questions. Take it easy.
  13. Thanks guys!! Appreciate the compliments. @chevro1et yeah I can build travel rods. The guy at f5 sold me one of his proprietary blanks so I could build my own travel swimbait rod, but other than that, multi-piece swimbait blanks seem hard to find.
