I personally think people are under hyping the bait, its a bait that fills a niche that previously was hard to fill. the bait is a hard thumping, fast moving bait, thats what it was designed for. Its a bait to pull out when those fish are hot on baits that move a lot of water. Instead of having to throw a hard bait now you have a soft bait option. Now all of this would be useless if the price was set too high.. but surprise they are almost the same price as a hudd. IDK, this is my opinion. Its not an every day bait but its a good option.

im exited, people have probably heard about how much i love the 806. IMO its a rod everybody needs period. Now people can feel the advantage of that rod for a favorable price. Tooooooo hyped.

I know on the delta it can make a huge difference. During the king tides on the delta, the rat nest get flooded so all the rats have to swim out. As a result, the bass feed on this bait heavily. Ive only had one day where this actually worked, but I know a lot of guys follow this.

I tend to disagree, i think that baitfish become harder to eat in the river as it becomes colder. Bass lose their advantage of sight when it muddies up, and then they can only see baitfish once they are inches from it. At that point even the dumbest of baitfish realize somethings up. Hence, this is why you see giant bass in lakes caught on jigs when the water is muddy, because they can't eat the tout anymore. We both would agree that fishing is slow when the water is muddy, and that why even though it can be tough to find crawfish during the muddy times, there is still a higher percentage for these fish to eat the crawfish.

I know a lot of people like the decoy quad hook, and i just picked up a size 1 for my mag but it doesn't really fit. So I'm asking, what treble do u have faith in to hold potential DD. This is strictly for trailer hooks. Thanks

Alot of guy that cheat, will catch fish before the tournament and keep them in a cage or stringer out on the lake. then go pick them up on tournament day. I've seen cages for it on the delta before.

its gunna be real hard o chuck the hued, and hook ups nearly impossible (this is all in my opinion), but for the triple trout, I love a short flex rod like a MH.

I think I can comment on this, as I've seen and had conversations with just about every guide on the delta. IMO the best Delta guide is Bobby Barrack, not only does he know more than other guides (again this is preference, and I should also mention that all of my options know the delta extensively), but he will critique every move you make, every cast you take. He's all about preparation and the mechanics. I went on a trip with him and I can honestly say that he made me a better fisherman. Other great option include Cooch, Matt Allen, and Randy Pringle.

Just FTR, I haven't heard anybody talk about how patents runout. I know that Ken dropping the Patent was rough, but it sure isn't the end of the world. A seller can only monopolies the market for so many years. Sooner than later, the patent will run out and Baitsmith will be able to sell again just fine as with the other companies.
