  1. Nov 3-8 i will be fishing lake perris in California. Im from Chicago and not fished any lakes out that way. I will be renting a boat and i will have all my gear with me. What swimbaits are a must have for this lake? Any advice on the lake, bait whatever would help. Im going into this blind!
  2. When is the su store going to stock up on some more hoodies? Its getting cold here in Chicago.
  3. Never bought anything off here but i will take them all for 50....How you wanna do this?
  4. Pick the tides over the tweaks, so when you struggle at the delta you could always blame the tides. At least that's what I do. haha
  5. Affordable place to stay with bass and a small boat. Anything else doesn't matter. Winter months out here in Chicago is a huge bummer. Fishing open water a few times in the winter gives me something to look forward to.
  6. ya i feel ya whatever lake i pick i plan to take a few trips to the same one....get to know the lake a little. Just seeing whats in the area.
  7. What are some lakes that have a resort on the water one i would not need to drive to the lake everyday(Wont have a car im flying in). Doesn't matter what part of the state. One that has big bass, And rents small boats. Something decent priced would be awesome! Annnnnnnd go! Oh and if you live in cali and want to fish over Thanksgiving weekend let a brother know!
  8. Haha What if I come across a 23 pounder? I can wish right?!
  9. Thanks man! I figured they would. I'm really not a fan of a two piece stick but it just makes life easier when traveling by plane.
  10. I need a 2-piece rod. Are there any swimbait specific (or suitable) rods that come in 2 pieces? I live in Chicago and when the winter hits i plan on taking 3 trips to cali to keep my sanity (Clearly not married) lol. I have a few 2-piece rods for those smaller swimbaits. But i need something that can throw lets say up to 6 or 7oz..... I have seen a few musky rods that can throw them but nothing specific for swimbaits. Thanks guys!
  11. I second that, since you are in Chicago, you must figure out the main baitfish in your area and replicate those baitfish the best you can. In most cases the bigger the bait, the bigger the Bass. Like WayneM said, BASS HATE BLUEGILLS/Sunfish/Kivers - what ever you call them in Chicago. Seeing your new here, welcome & use the "Search" feature on the forum to ask any question you want. Most of the info you need has been discussed in the past. Hope this helps & keep casting... Thanks!
  12. WOW Thanks guys this helps a ton! I will be sure to keep everyone posted on my progress!
  13. Man that video was awesome. Gave me the itch!!
  14. I have been bass fishing my whole life, just kinda getting into the bigger baits. Just sick of catching 2 pounders. I want to beat my pb and thats 5lbs 5oz and i got that on a small swimbait. I am Looking to put together a tray of bigger baits. What are some must haves in the swimbait world? lets say if you had 300 to spend on all the baits what would be in yo box?! First post long time lurker
