  1. I met op with the guy and paid in cash. And I insured it for 200$ even though it was a trade just incase this happened. Am I better off saying it broke? I don't want it to be like bigpoppabass and loose on for him because they screwed up. I guess I will start requiring a proof of signature.
  2. Yea the tracking info said it deliver but he never got it. So I'm just wondering. I sent it August 21.
  3. You guys do have some good points. I talked to my friend and he said that he called the post office and they where supposed to return his call about it and never did. I did buy extra insurance so that's good. Thanks for all the info. I had a package earlier this year end up in the wrong mailbox. It was definitely not comforting Grabbing it off someone else's porch but I wanted my bait. I might try calling that post office again and seeing what is up. I'll update it when I know more.
  4. Shipping baits is a common thing among all of us bait throwers. Well I traded away my OG flash carp to another friend on here and sad to see it was lost in the hands of USPS. I put insurance on it but how would I go about proving its worth? I bought it I paid met with the person and paid cash so I have no sales reciept. Any info that anyone has who has been in this spot before would he appreciated. I feel bad the bait is lost and wanna get him the money ASAP
  5. Nice man! Yea Michigan isn't a land of giants but there are some good ones out there! Nice caches for northern Michigan
  6. Someone should help this guy out. I couldn't imagine a day like that.
  7. If willing to split I'll take a rof 12 huddgill
  8. I did some research and couldn't find anything about it. But This year I discovered that that a local lake of mine is deep, super clear, and has trout stocked in it every April. Only lake in my area. Fishing it a couple times I have seen some huge smallmouth along with jaw dropping largies. In Michigan that means I have seen them up to about 8lb largies and 6 lb smallies follow up my buddies and I baits. Didn't get anything but a few 3lbers even though the majority where bigger. I know this lake has potential. My question is how does fishing the trout stock (like many of you do) really up your chances? How close to the stock is the best time to fish? never have fished the trout stock yet so I'm looking forward to it. When fishing it do you guys prefer high water column baits like a dying trout? Trout glide? Or a hudd slow rolled? Will these fish be accustomed to eating these trout? I'm new to this all so any info is good. Thanks in advance
  9. Yea, I thought it relates to big bait fishing so I figured it wouldn't hurt to post it.
  10. What I got out of this for myself atleast it Largemouth bass of all sizes choose to feed on pumpkinseed that were all smaller depth wise then the width of their mouth. However the medium to big bass tested would pick out the largest fathead minnow that was just smaller, body depth wise then the widths of their mouth to eat. All the bass didn't really care for the length of the baitfish they ate more so then the body depth. I see at as saying the bass don't really care how long our lures are but more along the lines of the width of the lure compared to the size of their mouth. I don't think is true 100% of the time but it would make sense.
  11. I've had this problem too when burning it really fast. Honestly the retrieve that worked best for me was a steady retrieve with 2-3 pops about 10-20 ft from the boat. I guess it's all personal preference but that's my .02
  12. Doing some research for a college class and came across this. Talks about body length vs. body depth of the prey and which should be considered as there main focus. Pretty interesting to me and seems like an article that big bait throwers would want to read. The top paragraph shows the summary and if you want the full article this is it. http://faculty-staff.ou.edu/H/Karl.D.Hambright-1/Hambright_Reprints/Hambright_91-TAFS.pdf
  13. At first I didn't like it, but by the 3 minute mark I am hooked hahah
  14. Bait is 9.9/10. Looking to trade for a mattlures glide trout preferably. Open to offers. Text 248-828-5772 for pictures. Thanks
  15. My buddy hopscotchman and I both fish Michigan, and my buddy was the one who had the smallie eat his 250 head first. So in our heads no bait is really too big for them, just figuring out what they actually want to commit on. That smallie was a monster who tried to take his 250. Not all will be that big. Just listen to boomah. He has had lots of time on water to back what he's saying.
  16. To the top, changing to any OG colors. Let me know and we could work something out
  17. Willing to trade my basically new OG flash carp for an OG trout pattern. Not picky on what color exactly. Let me know what you have. Text 248-828-5772 for pictures thanks
  18. I have a hinkle Shad with box I am selling To fund college books. Bait has a few tiny imperfection paint. I bought it BNIB and tossed it for maybe an hour. Has very little use on it. PM offers. Really need the money so no trades text 248-828-5772 for faster responses
  19. You must have missed out, I was able to snag one, there wasn't many left. (;
  20. Why don't you have a license? If you can afford swimbait fishing then I'm sure you can afford a license?
  21. Hahah I was reading it and I saw you caught a good one and no scale. Then I'm thinking ur shoe is going to be about 3/4 the size of the fish and I looked down and holy ish. That's a hog. Solid fish man hahahah.
  22. Recieved my email saying it shipped, but when I go to track the package it tells me that it's in pre-shipment stage still. Anyone else get this? Or am I being too impatient?
  23. I feel like a common thing with people is just natural colors. to me it gives me more confidence throwing the flash carp verses the blueback just for the simple reason that it doesn't look out of place. Don't get me wrong the blueback could get the fish but I have a lot more confidence in the flash carp. I've seen my buddy do well with the keta bass. So i believe it's mostly confidence.
  24. Congrats man! A 6lb jump is super awesome to see. I need my first 6lb bass even! Very cool
