Thanks for the input guys I emailed LDC its a 3 month wait list for a custom XXH Parabolic, its gonna kill me to wait that long but Ill probably pull the trigger

I throw big swim baits the same way i throw a tady 45, and those rods probably are not meant to be thrown that hard.....so its most likely operator error

Im on the Dobyns college staff, which is why all my rods are dobyns. I've also had guide inserts come out on almost all my rods. Ive since cut and rewrapped with new guides. My main issue is being really picky I hate the factory phenix rods so I may to buy a blank and have it custom built.

I emailed him, but your probably right. I fish dobyns on all my other gear but I've already snapped 2 908s and I don't like the feel of the 867.

What would be your ideal rod and reel combo be for throwing the big boys: 250 slide swimmer,mother,R2S S waver 200, and the big huds. Ive been saving for a while now and am ready to buy a setup that I actually like fishing
