They did make a post on Instagram about them coming out with some new bullshooter and 250 slide swimmer colors as well as a new concept swimbait.

I use the Mattlures ultimate bluegill, but if I do see a giant that doesn't want the gill then I will switch to a deps.

[Okuma guide select Swimbait rod]

Own a Okuma Guide Select 7'11 Heavy and it's perfect - nothing bad to say about it. Handles 8" hudds perfectly, lunker punkers, 8" SG line-thrus, etc. A few on here have told me they even throw a Deps 250 with theres, but I haven't tried it yet. 

 

What size baits are you throwing?

You may be okay with the H or XH plus there's a lifetime warranty...

I'll be throwing my deps 250 plus things like the Mattlures dead twitch and savage gear 12".

So my g loomis rod is broken and I need a new swimbait rod and since I'm in high school I can't afford $250+ rods, so I'm think about getting a okuma guide select swimbait rod XX heavy. Does anyone have anything to say about them.

Yep 100% deps fault, I wish they would just start making the original 250's again. In my opinion they are way better than the new slide swimmers.

i have a few questions about the Dobyns 867. First how good is the rod overall? And second has anyone had problems with the guides popping out because I've heard about this problem a lot with their Swimbait rods? I'm looking to get a rod that holds 5-14+ ounces. Also has anyone used the mattlures 8'-8' 10" swimbait rods because I saw one on eBay and was wondering if they are any good.
