    Recently I've been doing a lot of recon to find waters around me for a good swimbait bite. I scout maps for literally HOURS looking at possible waters to hit, in Florida the ponds are plentiful and even the small ones can hold fish of 8lb+. Had a couple hits and a couple misses, but During my search I found a lake that looked promising, secluded from people and connected to two smaller ponds through coverts, it had the potential I'd been looking for. went to check it out. First two outings I didn't get anything, fished it and paid attention. I saw good bait and some large shiners, and activity was high mid day so I decided to match the hatch and throw the 10" savage gear line thru in golden shiner. next outing, BOOM a couple of 7 lbers. Since then I've gone back several times and I caught my PB and first double digit bass. I posted it in the pb but I'll repost here along with all of the solid fish I've gotten so far. Only throwing the 10" savage gear line through. I finally put all the pieces together, location, bait/forage, time of day, etc and it paid off in a big way. All of these fish were in the past 3 weeks.

    I found this one lake that is holding MASSIVE fish by me, been fishing it for about a month now. It produced plenty of fish over 7lbs.. but about a week ago I nailed my PB bass at 9lb 1oz. I was STOKED, went back one more time with a friend about 3 days ago to try and get him on a big bass... and I FINALLY got my first DD on the scale and broke my PB AGAIN with a 10lb 4oz fish. It was crazy, definitely a fish of a life time. All of the fish I've caught have been on the 10" savage gear line through shad. Sleeper bait for sure
