I own a revo beast on Irod swim jr and love it. Thats my smaller bait setup. So this setup will be for my bigger baits 5oz n up.

thanks for the imput goin to basspro today to palm a 300. But with anything could feel nice in store but when you go fishing with it turns out different sometimes. I got a Curado I .Right hand retrieve it felt great but theres this point on there design where it digs into your hand when casting . I mainly want to stick to round reel for strength as they been know for it over the years . But hey Im gonna palm a lexa 300 as well and maybe if its comfy go with it. do the lexas hold up well in time?

I have small to medium hands. Is the cardiff palmable for smaller hands ? Its very important as my hand strength is not back fully not even halfway. This is where Im at ....I see the new SHIMANO CONQUEST 300 400 is a smaller profile now and about same weight . Its about a 300$ difference between the 2. Im going for comfort because thats whats most important to me right now so money difference doesnt bother me im lucky to be alive and walking as i missed being paralyzed by 3mm so just dont think im some rich kid trying to buy the hottest reel out lol. Now if I did purchase a CONQUEST best believed it would be used for saltwater too. ITS ALL ABOUT COMFORT as I dont need my hands slipping or bobblin if or when I get a big swimbait bite. This reel will be used for 5oz up . Will be paired with okuma guide select xh. Im just worried about the palm plate on cardiff being too big as thats why ive always used low pro reels for bass fishing just more palmable and comfy to me. Ok here we go....Im getting a okuma guide select in xh or xxh. Im curious to you owners of these rods do you feel there on the mark on the specs of the rods or do you feel like there overated or underrated?Ill be getting the cardiff 300 for it and will be for the deps 250 big hvy baits etc.. I kinda like my rods in between like if rod says 1-5 ounce I wont throw over 3 ounces as thats usually a rods sweet spot in the middle In my opinion. Let me know what you guys think .

been thinking about this reel . Whats max drag lb?

My go to is my abu garcia revo beast its got good mags for braking and large knobs for my hands to feel better and make it easier for me to reel. I thought Id have to use spinning gear this year but i forced myself to flip in the backyard with 1/2 ounce working up to ounce building muscle back and tryin get nerves to continue to wake up n come back. Ive been trying to stay away from big round reels right now

ok ....THANKS ALOT for the feeback n responses! ima def look into those baits . Also will be buying a rod n reel for the bigger baits soon as im gonna push myself to build my strength back up. Was thinking about getting a Shimano Cardiff 300 with either okuma big bait rod?or pair it with Irod Large swimbait?

Ive got a IROD SWIMBAIT JR. PAIRED WITH ABU GARCIA BEAST. Its loaded with 20lb invisx fluro. Im mainly throwing the jackall gantarel and the megabass islide. I dont wanna go over 2 1/2 ounces of weight as I broke my necks months ago and lost my left side completely and now getting it back but Im definately not as strong as I was and waiting for nerves to comeback. Metal plate in neck etc.etc. Was trying to keep my setup as light as possible so I can throw it for few hours . I would like opionions on using a snap or no snap to attach bait? Also I would like to know a good hud bait for me to be able to handle ? And any other hot baits right now from 1-2 1/2 oz. ? Also on my glide baits i like the 7:1 ratio . Could i get away with just slow turning handle for hudds? I am one of the most slowest methodical fisherman there is so yhe slow turning handle i can handle . Please help
