Bantams are Japanese made, my choice out of the two.

new zillions are not Japanese made. og zillions we’re Japanese made, not anymore. It’s sad to see these companies take the top models and have them made in the cheaper countries.

I personally use only Japanese made reels.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Good luck in your journey…

Not true. The zillion 1000 and zillion hd 1000 are made in Japan.

I’m sorry to bother you guys with another “which one should I get” type of post, but I have no way of seeing and holding before I buy.

I’ll make it very simple, if you were fishing with lures up to 1.5oz that are mostly spinners and swimbaits (we are fishing for big pike), would you get a zillion or a bantam?

I have zero brand loyalty. So if there’s another suggestion out there drop it on me.

Flip a coin. The zillion hd 1000 and bantam are on par with each other and it’s pretty much just down to brand choice.

  2. Keep it short say 3’ max and don’t cast the connection knot to take advantage of the braids thin diameter. Every time that knot ticks the guides it’s slowing down and could possible weaken the knot.

Does anybody have weights on the XXH LDC SI and the King of Baccarat?

Also, anybody know what the action of the XXH LDC is?

I can tell you this the LDC is probably going to be a little lighter. The King is 9.7oz for a 7’8” rod. To put it in perspective the Valkyrie World Expedition VKC-80XXH-4 8’ 4pc glass composite rod which is pretty much a 8’ version of the king action and power wise comes in at 9.5oz

  4. 2-5oz I would to TS711X Blackjack and for the 6-12lbs the TS78X+ King of Baccarat over the Baccarart. The TS78X+ has a longer handle over the TS78X. When I had my TS78X+ I was able to toss a 8” rof 5 hudd to a hinkle trout. On your lighter setup if you said you would top out at 4oz I would have said the Cookai CK710EXHC. The blackjack can handle up to a Deps 250.
