My thoughts on the large clear wedge tail are that by making the end of the tail clear it allows them to make a larger tail creating more thump and vibration, but still have a normal size tail in appearance. I also like the dorsal fin hook protector. For the price I'm going to check them out.

Their very easy to paint while assembled. I don't recommend taking them apart. I had no problems with painting mine

I only buy 9" slammers. Golden shiner, perch and bluegill are my favorites. Bass have no second thoughts about hitting the 9" and it has a better drawing power than the 7". I just got a 12" goldfish slammer that is insane!
