  1. You can look back in the years past threads. Sometimes it's taken well over a year to get Hinkles. His process has changed a little with selling unpainted blanks, it seemed to speed things up and make them more available. But with the new Trick Trout and in house paint, and everyone wanting them you'll probably be waiting a minute. Andrew is legit and you'll eventually get your bait. Best thing to do is not get anxiety over when it will arrive. You also probably won't get much communication. That's just how it's been over the last 6-7 years. It'll come! Hope this helps
  2. Romans are one of my favorite baits. The negotiator is not your typical "glide" most actually "glide" pretty poorly, it excels as an erratic jerky glide Sure the paint rashes and chips, some have pretty bad adhesion due to the wood preserver the baits areas soaked in prior to paint, water penetrating and damaging the wood is low percentage of baits out in the world I'm happy to pay the premium price they command, I'm confident in it and they have provided tons of good fish for me There is a RM retrieve video on YouTube that's worth watching

Sorry for the late reply. As far as our tourney is concerned. 6" baits or larger, if it's a soft bait it absolutely has to be a fish replica. I.e. fins, gills, eyes, head, scale etc.. a bait the shape of a Huddleston qualifies, but a bait like AA swimbait that requires a jig head is no good. Keitechs and the like just defeat the purpose and spirit of the event. The philosophy of the BA/BC Shootout tourney is to promote usage of Swimbaits to catch fish. Sure it's a tourney, but it's the experience we're promoting. If you come to our tourney with the mindset you're going to win throwing keitechs and pushing the limits of the rules (which i wish we didn't even have to make) well then imo you've already lost.
