  1. Just thinking out loud... not knocking your ideas Jake. If you add more micro balloons, in return you have to add more weight. Wouldn't you get the same results, assuming your weighting points are the same ? I really don't know. To me it looks like the bait needs to be weighted more evenly...not so much in the belly. I still think the joint placement would benefit being further back. This what I see, I'm no physics guru.
  2. Quick update. I added appx. 5/16 oz of tungsten putty evenly across the bottom to achieve a super slow sink. It swam well, stayed around 2' down on a slow retrieve, and sits well on a pause. One piece of putty fell off before I could really get a feel for it, but I definitely liked what I saw better than the original floating version. I think that I will be playing around with this some more.
  3. Yep, I've been thinking about that as well. The putty is harmless, so I'll try that first. A lip and a bit of weight might make a cool crank down.
  4. I Agree with Anthony, I'm a Roman fan as well but this bait didn't do it for me. I'm actually going to try weighting it with some tungsten putty this weekend to see what I can get out of it without totally trashing it. If it works, then I'll bring out the drill!
  5. Love the details! Nicely written.
  6. Cool idea Ryan! Just a heads up if you didn't know already. The dye on those feathers can very well bleed color on/into your baits. So long as you allow them to dry before storing you should be okay. I tie my own Marabou bucktails and have had the dye bleed into the clear coat of a wooden lure.
  7. Spinning a classic, Chuck Schuldiner "Godfather"of death metal 🤘
  8. This is awesome guys! I'm too late for this it seems, but this is the exact scenario I've been looking for. I have a decent reel and some starter baits that need a deserving home, preferably to a kid. If you know of anyone, hit me up!
  9. Agree with Ryan, that mold is awesome! Wish I had some solid advice. Maybe put the joint further back so the body is bigger/tail smaller ? I got really lucky with mine, it glides better than most of my purchased baits, now can I duplicate it?
  10. 75$ both baits tyd.... someone needs this!
  11. Dan, I have the 30$ mask ( I think, or very similar). I bought it for spraying nitrocellulose on a guitar. The stuff is very toxic without the mask, with it I could barely notice the smell. For dust it will be more than adequate.
  12. Alright, let's try this....75$ for both baits tyd, 15$ per hat tyd
  13. No worries with Kyle... super speedy delivery. Thanks again!
  14. Tranx...no comparison to Lexa (non HD). I own both in 300 size, the Tranx is way more refined, and more comfortable to palm imo.
  15. Great looking bait Dan ! Definitely one to be proud of.
  16. Been a punk/metal head since middle school as well. For metal I really dig early 90s death metal....Carcass, Entombed, Obituary, Death, Napalm Death.
  17. I'm interested. Hard part will be getting everyone to agree on a draft time.
  18. Just gonna say I don't think Justin is maliciously out to screw anyone over. I don't know him, not have I done business with him. Apologies accepted.
  19. Didn't see that you ordered one already.... enjoy!
  20. Get a Tranx, you won't be disappointed. I own 2 and also own curado 300 ej, Lexa 300 , Calcutta te, Abu toro 1st Gen. Tranx is the real deal!
